We have heard some folks use dish soap as a surfactant. We cannot recommend dish soap to be mixed with Remedy Ultra Herbicide, because there is not enough research behind it. We recommend a product like Non-Ionic Surfactant to be mixed with most herbicides that are labeled for it.
You could potentially mix another herbicide such as MSMA with Remedy Ultra Herbicide. Be sure that you always use the more restrictive label when mixing two products and that both can be used in your application site. You can use Round Up QuickPro at the highest listed usage rate to help eliminate bamboo. No matter what product you use when trying to control bamboo you need to cut the plant down level with the ground and then use the designated product at the highest rate or undiluted to paint/pour directly on the freshly cut surface. Bamboo roots run very deep so often you have to do multiple applications with a product and repeat the cutting and painting phase a few times to fully kill the plant.?
When trying to kill mimosa trees, it is best to cut the tree down and then immediately treat the fresh cut stump using an herbicide like Remedy Ultra Herbicide. Please refer to the product label for complete information on your application.
Remedy Ultra Herbicide treated plants typically die within two to three weeks after an application as it is a systemic herbicide that moves through the plant and this takes time. Plant growth will start to look abnormal within days of applying though. Please review the product label for application rates and instructions.

Remedy Ultra Herbicide is not specifically labeled for ironweed. Amine 400 2,4 - D Weed Killer, GrazonNext and Crossbow are labeled for ironweed. Remember to always refer to the specific product label for approved application sites and recommended mix rates.
Control of this weed can take up to 12 to 18 months.It is recommended to begin control for ironweed in early to mid-July by mowing emerged tall ironweed stem then apply herbicides in August or by early September as a broadcast treatment. Although mid-summer (June and July) treatments can provide good control, better herbicide movement to the root system occurs with perennial weeds such as tall ironweed with late summer applications.
Remedy Ultra Herbicide is for the control of woody plants and broadleaf weeds on rangeland, permanent grass pastures, and conservation reserve program (CRP) acres (including fence rows and non-irrigation ditch banks within these areas). The product should not be applied to turf grass as it is not labeled for use on residential lawns. It can persist for up to 1 year in the soil.

One very difficult part of controlling this plant is that all debris must be removed from the area to prevent resprouting. Another active ingredient mentioned is Fluroxypyr, which we do have in the product E-2 Herbicide. We recommend consulting your local Cooperative Extension office for assistance. Since this is a heavily invasive species of importance, most local offices will want to know where the plant is being found.
Remedy Ultra Herbicide does not harm any insects like butterflies and moths. We do recommend applying in the early morning or later in the evening when pollinators are less active if you are treating plants with blooms.
How you dilute and apply Remedy Ultra Herbicide will depend on the target plant(s) and how you are applying the product. For example, to use Remedy Ultra for a cut stump treatment, you would cut the tree down to a stump and then treat the fresh cuts with Remedy Ultra Herbicide.
