  • Asked by Derrick from Tx

    Q
How much Resolute do I mix per gallon for max rate?
    A

Depending on the type of turfgrass you are treating and the desired length of control, you will use 0.23 - 1.1 oz of Resolute 4FL Herbicide per 1,000 square feet, per the product label. When using herbicides, it is most important to use the correct amount of product for the area you are treating and to think of the water as a carrier, rather than aiming for a particular rate per gallon of water. You will need first to calculate how much product you need for the type of grass, size area, and desired length of weed control. Then you can calibrate your hose-end sprayer using just water to determine how many gallons of water you need to treat the entire area. Keep in mind that you will need to activate the product with 0.5 in of rainfall or irrigation within 14 days of application.

  • Asked by Carl from Reagan, Tx 76680
    06/07/2014
    Q
Is it safe to use Resolute 4FL on fruiting plants (black berries)?
    Resolute 4FL Herbicide
    A
Resolute 4FL is not labeled to be used around anything edible.  Unfortunately pre-emergents and selective herbicides are not labeled to be used around edible gardens.  They stay in the soil too long.  Your only option is a round up type product, like our Round UP Quik Pro, and you can spot treat the weeds.  Since Round UP does not stay in the soil very long, it can be used in these areas.

  • Asked by Jonathan from Ny

    Q
What is the difference/benefit of Resolute 4FL and Tenacity?
    A

Resolute 4FL Herbicide has Prodiamine as the active ingredient and Tenacity has Mesotrione. Resolute acts only as a pre-emergent where as Tenacity can be both a pre-emergent or a post-emergent.  Tenacity recommends tank mixing with a true pre-emergent when used for this application to get better control as it only lasts 30 days a pre.

    Q
Does Resolute 4FL Prodiamine Herbicide have a strong odor or staining ability?
    A

Resolute 4FL Herbicide does have a yellow appearance that has the possibility of staining pourous surfaces such as concrete, brick, stone, etc. Use caution when applying around these areas and if any accidential overspray occurs, immediat3ely wash the area with water to remove the application.

While the product SDS Sheet does not state information on an odor, this being a herbicide could have a slight chemical smell to it.
