You can use 3.2 ounces of Riptide to 32 oz of water for the lowest usage rate. You can use higher usage rates if needed as well. Here is a usage rate chart: https://www.domyown.com/msds/Riptide-Rate-Chart.pdf
Riptide is not labeled to be used around or on any type of edibles. We would recommend using Hi-Yield Indoor/Outdoor Broad Use Insecticide. It is labeled to be used on and around many kinds of edibles for control of mosquitoes.
We can give advice on how to reduce mosquito populations and reduce the risk of being bitten by mosquitoes that may vector disease, but any reduction in risk of contracting a disease is something we cannot comment on. The most popular concentrate we sell for mosquito misting systems in residential areas is Riptide 5.0% Pyrethrin ULV, which has a high percentage of active ingredient for quick knockdown of flying insects. Please also take a few moments to review our Mosquito Pest Guide for more information and tips about this pest.
Riptide can be used undiluted or diluted inside of a fogger. This will only kill what it comes in contact with and does not leave a residual.
For roaches, we would recommend using residual products. We do have Roach Control Kit that comes with everything you will need to do a complete roach treatment. Please also check out our Roach Guide for tips and instructions on how to treat and prevent roaches.
Tengard SFR could be used for flies in poultry houses and will leave a residual. Poultry should be out of the area during treatment until dry. Please refer to the product label for complete instructions.
Riptide 5.0% Pyrethrin ULV is not labeled to be used as a root drench. It is not a systemic and will not be absorbed through the roots. It is only for spraying plants surfaces to kill exposed aphids on plants. If you are looking for a systemic product to apply as a soil drench Adonis 2F would be a better option.
Riptide 5.0% Pyrethrin ULV odor is considered "slight and sweet" per SDS.
