    Q
Can I spray around magnolia trees? Magnolia trees were planted about 5 months ago.
    A
Yes, you may spray around Magnolia trees with Roundup QuikPRO as long as you do not spray the Magnolia trees directly and try your best to prevent any over-spray from getting on the Magnolia trees. Roundup QuikPRO does not leach in the soil and should not hard your Magnolia trees as long as care is taken and the trees are not stressed.

    Q
Can I spray RoundUp on Damp plants?
We are currently having nightly frost and the next morning the plants(large patches of short weeds and grass) I want to kill are damp. Can I still mix and spray as normal?
    A
You are more than welcome to spray the roundup on the plants while they are still damp, just make sure no rain will occur within the next few hours that could potentially wash it away. Also, keep in mind that weeds and grasses have to normally be in an actively growing state (this means consistent temperatures over 65 for several days) to absorb any sort of nutrient into their system. This means if they are not allowing things into the plant system since its in a dormant state, you may not see full results when spraying this time of year even with a product like RoundUp.

    Q
Will Roundup QuikPRO kill grass? If so, what kinds?
    A
Roundup QuikPro is a professional version of Roundup, which is a non-selective herbicide killer.  This means it will kill anything you spray it on.  Even the over spray or spray caught by the wind that lands on a plant or grass will kill it. Please refer to the product label for specific application instructions.

    Q
Will RoundUp QuikPro kill a fescue lawn?
We want to kill our existing tall fescue/weed lawn and then reseed with Bermuda grass. Is this the product we should use? If it is, how many gallons per acre should we use? The label says 10-80 gallons per acre but I couldn't find any specifics on how much to use for killing an existing lawn.
    A
RoundUp QuikPro will kill any grasses including fescue as it is a non-selective post-emergent herbicide that will kill anything sprayed directly. Per the product label, you should dilute 4-8 oz per gallon of water for spot treatments or 4.5-9lbs of the product per acre. The amount of water per acre is 10-80 gallons depending on the usage rate of product.

  • Asked by Edward from Vancouver, Wa
    07/01/2015
    Q
Can I mix Roundup QuikPro and Speedzone together safely to spot spray a vacant field?
I have Willow herb weeds that seem resistant to QuickPro. Speedzone seems to do the job on them out in a vacant lot so no worry about killing grass. Wondering if it is safe to mix the two together + would I mix each chemical separately, say one gallon each, and put them together to total two gallons OR add both chemicals to one gallon at the same mixing? Are they compatible?
    A
You can actually tank mix the RoundUp QuickPro and Speedzone in the same tank to apply together to the troublesome weeds. We always recommend to follow the more strict of the two labels when mixing ingredients and be sure to look for any incompatibilities in the tank first before using the products (like discoloring, clumping, etc) and then proceed with treatment.

  • Asked by Jonny from Phoenix

    Q
How much Roundup QuickPro should I use for a 200 gallon tank?
I'm treating perennial weeds and Bermuda grass. I'm trying to achieve a 2% mixture rate.
    A

It is harder to measure an exact solution percentage with RoundUp QuickPRO. However, you should use 4.5 to 9 pounds of granules per Acre for perennial weeds, the mix in sufficient water to cover the desired treatment area. Please see the product label for complete application instructions. Be advised that RoundUp QuikPRO will only offer partial control of Bermudagrass.

We would recommend using a liquid concentrate for the most options with your finished solution since the liquid has less glyphosate, allowing for a broader range of solutions. RangerPro is a very economical liquid concentrate that contains 41 percent glyphosate. You would use 4 gallons of RangerPro Concentrate in 200 gallons of water to make a 2 percent solution, per the product label.

    Q
What can I use to kill my lawn for a complete resod?
I am starting off by killing away at least 4000 sq feet.
    A

You could apply a product that contains the active ingredient glyphosate such as RoundUp QuikPro. The active ingredient in RoundUp products is Glyphosate which is only active while it is wet. Just to be safe, we do recommend waiting 2 weeks before replanting or re-sodding treated areas.

    Q
Will any herbicide eliminate the grassy weed Tall Fescue from a KBG lawn?
    Thanks in advance!
    A

We do not carry a product that will take fescue out of kentucky blue grass.  Unfortunately they are so closely related that you cannot selectively remove it with any product that we are aware of.  Your best option in this scenario is to kill the fescue with a Roundup Quikpro (glyphosate) product and then re-seed with your KBG

    Q
What can I do to save my grass that is dying from RoundUp QuikPro that leached through the soil?
I just recently dug up my front lawn to put in a circular driveway and I lined my driveway with pretty rocks.. Well the grass has grown over my rocks so a friend told me to spray Round Up..So I sprayed on the line right next to the rocks with the stream on the nozzle.. The Round Up has moved across my grass and is killing my beautiful plants.. :( Help!! What can I do to save them?? Obviously a few are toast but some are struggling and maybe could make it.. I sprayed this killer 2 weeks ago. Should I use Miracle Grow to help the plants that are farther away from the line? I have centipede grass. I assume the killer spread under ground.. Didn't realize it would do that just thought it would stay in its area.
    A

Roundup Quik Pro is a great product for controlling weeds with spot sprays but it will kill anything it touches. While using Miracle-Gro may help to an extent, there isn't a way to reverse the effects of roundup once its been absorbed by a plant. The best thing to do now is wait and then reseed with centipede grass in the areas that died off around the driveway. You may want to look at putting a pre-emergent down that will help prevent weeds from coming up this fall and the following spring so less spot treating is needed. A pre-emergent like Dimension 2EW or Prodiamine 65 would both work very well for your needs.

  • Asked by Angie from New York

    Q
How much of Roundup QuikPRO will I need to treat 1/2 acre yard?
I've purchased a house recently and my entire front yard is covered with weeds, unwanted shrubs and other plants. I want to keel everything on my front yard except of the old oak trees and juniper. Will Roundup QuickPRO be the best solution for me? How many bottles do I need to purchase to treat 1/2 acre yard? Thank you!
    A

The mixing ratio of Roundup QuikPRO is 1.5 oz. per gallon of water. This will treat approximately 1000 square feet. For a 1/2 acre, you will need 21.78 oz in approximately 21 gallons of water. This product will kill whatever it comes in contact with, including weeds, unwanted shrubs, etc. You will only need one bottle of this to cover 1/2 acre.
