However, usually if a systemic product like Safari is used with another product, the Safari would be applied as a soil drench or bark banding treatment. Then you could apply the bifenthrin product as a foliar spray so you are using 2 different treatment methods.
Safari 20SG Systemic Insecticide with Dinotefuran should be applied before pest are an issue as it takes time to absorbed and translocated throughout. You may contact your local cooperative extension office to determine the correct timing of the application as this will vary greatly from region to region.

We would recommend treating the outdoors with something like Cyzmic CS and Archer IGR, the IGR will help to disrupt the life cycle of ticks, in this case. We do recommend re-treating every 30 days throughout the season to ensure a continued residual that will continue to kill ticks that come in contact with the treated surfaces. Safari 20SG is not labeled for spider-mite control. We are unaware of any systemic product that is labeled for use for spider-mite control. Instead we would recommend a foliage spray product such as Bifen IT which is labeled for use on ornamental plants (no edible crops) and is also labeled for spider-mites.

Yes, Safari 20SG Systemic Insecticide with Dinotefuran is highly toxic to bees exposed to residues for more than 38 hours following treatment. Do not apply this product to blooming, pollen-shedding or nectar-producing parts of plants if bees may forage on the plants. Soil drenches would be a less direct affect on bees but could still pose a risk.
When soil drenching using Safari 20SG Systemic Insecticide with Dinotefuran, it is important to use enough water to thoroughly saturate the roots from the trunk out to the end of the tree line. Water is the carrier so using too little amounts of water will not thoroughly disperse the active ingredient like it's intended to do.
