Takes time. But does the job

Counting grains
By Martha on 02/03/2023
SedgeHammer works best and works well on newly sprouted sedge. I found buying the product in ready-to-use form too expensive so I have bought the mix-it-as-you-need-it granules a much better investment even though expensive. By mixing 10 grains (grains--you have to count them because a scale for measuring these small amounts is probably not feasible) in 2 cups of water with the wetting solution added works well. That way I can mix the herbicide as I need it in the spring.

Surprise
By Teddy on 11/06/2023
This stuff works, after several days my wife tells me it's not working. I look and the nut grass appears to be growing better. I go back and review the directions, I mixed just as specified. I let it set for a couple more weeks and wow, it's all turned brown and dead. Definitely recommend.
Finally something that worked

Finally able to get rid of the Yellow NutSedge that plagued my yard. OMG... Good riddance. One application is all it took. It is a slow process, but it works, so be patient. I highly recommend this product. Did not harm my Floratam St. Augustine. The only side effect is the St. Augustine grass slowed down on growing, but that is minor compared to the yard full of nut sedge I had. Key word is "HAD". The grass is starting to grow again and not the nutsedge.
Very Effective

Certain death to all Nutsedge
By Whit on 09/09/2022
This Kit was just what I needed to lay waste to an hornery batch of Yellow Nutsedge. I mixed up a gallon and sprayed the nasty weeds. The spray indicator dye really helped to see where I had sprayed already. If you have a lot of nutsedge, use the dye. It took about a week before I noticed discoloring of the sedge, but 10 days after spraying, the sedge is all but dead. It may come back next year, but at the first sign of its return, I'm going to be spraying while laughing manically as I no longer fear it. I'll relish its inevitable death as I am now armed with Sedgehammer Herbicide!

Great Product, Excellent Service
By Ken on 09/02/2022
Ordered the SedgeHammer herbicide on Friday and it was shipped same day. Received order on Monday. The purple nutsedge was bad this year. Applied using tank sprayer on Monday and could see results by the following Monday. Recommend using the dye to see where product is applied. the herbicide did not seem affect my Bermuda grass but the blue dye persisted for about a week.
This Stuff Works!

I have been very pleased with the results of this product. Within a few days the Nutsedge's growth is blunted, its obviously browning by a week and by 2 weeks its looking pretty dead! Way better then whatever our lawn service sprays. Good grass looks fine even with a blanket spray application. Finally a quality product that gets rid of this nasty stuff. Hopefully I can eradicate from my yard in future years and at least blunt any outbreaks that may start.

I had a large area that was taken over with nutsedge. I am in FL and when lawn areas are stressed, weeds take over. I tried other products and I think they made them grow more. I used this product per the label and within 4 days they were brown in 7 days they were all dead. Now I just need to resod the area. Excellent product. PS: per label did not harm the Flortam grass at all.

give nutsedge the hammer
By John on 05/27/2022
I have been fighting nutsedge for years with Image and until I tried sedgehammer I was a skeptic. Nutsedge is hard to get rid of is what I thought. It says sedgehammer takes 28 days to fully kill and that appears to be true. Also, it takes several weeks to see a difference but that did not bear true. In only 2 days using the label instructions, the nutsedge began to turn a lighter green and I could tell it was beginning to have a “bad day”! HALLELUJAH! It's been 3 weeks and it's really shrinking and going thru a long, slow, tortuous death!
