    Q
Can Sertay be used in a hose end sprayer? What rate of dilution?
I want to treat Annual Bluegrass in a large Bermuda grass front yard.
    A

Sertay Herbicide (Generic Certainty - Sulfosulfuron 75%) like most other herbicides should not be applied in hose end applicatiors. This type of sprayer sometimes is not very accurate, so you can wind up dispensing more or less product than needed in a given area, which can lead to less than desirable results.

  • Asked by Anthony from Southaven, Ms

    Q
Mixing instructions with Sertay Herbicide in water
Label states that you should mix product with 2 gallons of water per 1000 sqft. Does this mean that if you mix the same amount of product in, say 4 gallons in the same area it will not be as effective or not work at all?
    A

Correct, per the product label for Sertay Herbicide you should use 2 gallons of water per 1000 sqft.  Using more water than recommended can lead to undesirable results as it would be too diluted.

  • Asked by Aaron from Linden, Texas
    07/18/2023
    Q
Can Sertay Herbicide be used with heavy dew on grass and weeds?
This question/explanation is also for Fahrenheit, and MESO 4 SC. I will be mixing the Sertay with Fahrenheit. The temps have been high during the day with high humidity thus dew does not evaporate totally. The only window of opportunity is early morning before temps are above 85 -90 degrees and dew is quite heavy until late afternoon. I know this a long explanation but as stated above, it also covers two other products so there is no redundant questions. Thank you for your time.
    A
Sertay Herbicide can be applied on the ground when there is a small amount of dew as long as not dripping wet.  This applies to other post emergent herbicides as well.
