    Q
Can I use Sevin Concentrate to kill what looks like black aphids on my indoor umbrella plant?
    A

Sevin Concentrate is not labeled to be used on houseplants, it is only for outside use.  Bonide Systemic Granules Insect Control would be good to use for aphids and other listed insects on houseplants.

    Q
How often do I use Sevin to kill fleas and will the fleas come back
    A

You did not mention what Sevin product you are referring to but the Sevin Concentrate product must make direct contact on the fleas for product to be effective per the product label so you would be making applications anytime fleas are present outdoors.

If you are looking to treat inside and outside for fleas, you should definitely get our Indoor/Outdoor Flea Kit.  It comes with an excellent product called Onslaught, which is great for both outdoors and indoors.  It is also very safe around pets and has a long residual.  Also in the kit is an IGR called Martins IGR.  It is photo-stable up to 14 days which is about as long as you will find for an IGR that will be outside.  Of course you should mix both together in the same tank and apply at the same time both outside and inside.

You must vacuum indoors prior to the first treatment and then vacuum daily for 14 days to help eliminate some of the flea eggs and flea debris that the pupae feed on. Outdoors you should concentrate on moist, shady areas and areas where the animals spend time resting. After 14 days a retreatment may be needed to eliminate any left over fleas (the kit comes with enough product for repeat applications).

    Q
I sprayed Sevin inside by accident how long will it take for my room to be safe?
    A
Since Sevin Concentrate is not labeled to be applied indoors, we are unsure when it will be safe to reenter. We would highly recommend to contact the manufacturer GardenTech 866-945-5033. We apologize for this inconvenience.

    Q
Can Sevin Concentrate treat fleas and roaches in my home?
    A

Sevin Concentrate is only labeled for outdoor use. We suggest using our Roach Control Kits for roaches. You can also use PT Ultracide for fleas.  Please take a look at our Roach and Flea control guides for more information.

    Q
    Ant infestation in oak trees
We have several large oak trees in our yard that are severely infested with small black ants. The ants apparently live/nest in the trees but have recently started moving around our yard a lot and are everywhere. Now they are even in our house, specifically in our attic. No other products have been successful in exterminating them so my mom suggested we use Sevin products. The product states it is specifically for outdoor use so is it safe to spray in the attic? We also have a large population of squirrels that we feed so which of your products would be safe to use that would not be harmful to our squirrel population?
    A
Sevin Concentrate is labeled to be used outdoors only. For ants indoors, we would recommend using something like Phantom Aerosol. This can be sprayed around the baseboards, cracks and crevices, void treatment where pests harbor, nest, trail, run, and/or breed or hide. Treat into voids or to surfaces beneath cabinets, furniture, spaces between equipment, expansion joints, surfaces behind sinks, floor drains (to sewers), lockers, and water pipes.

    Q
Will Sevin Concentrate kill bed bugs?
    A

We would not advise using Sevin Concentrate to treat for bed bugs as it is not labeled for that use or for any use indoors. We suggest looking at our How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs Guide to provide information on what itmes to use and application instructions for a bed bug treatment.
