    Q
Will Sevin Concentrate kill bees on contact?
    A

According to the Sevin Concentrate product label "This product is highly toxic to honeybees and other bees. Do not apply to plants in bloom." Almost all insecticides are toxic to bees as they are not really  selective.  You can help limit any effect to bees by being careful not to apply the insecticides when bees are actively foraging in the area.

    Q
How often would I apply Sevin in the yard for fleas and ticks?
want to use the powder in yard for flea and ticks how often would I need to reapply?
    A

Sevin Concentrate is not labeled for use on lawns. You can use Sevin Granules on lawns for ticks and fleas. For fleas, you would use 4-9 lbs per 1,000 square feet. You can apply up to 3 times a year with at least 7 days between applications. Keep in mind that Sevin is just a contact kill, so it will not have residual effect for fleas, ticks, or other listed pests. For a residual granule to use instead, you could use Talstar XTRA Granules every 30-60 days. Please see our Flea Treatment Guide and Tick Treatment Guide for more tips on eradicating these pests.

    Q
Will Sevin Kill Yellowheaded Spruce Sawflies on my Norway Spruce Trees without damaging the trees?
    A

Yes, you can use Sevin Concentrate as a topical spray on spruce or other ornamentals for sawfly treatment. According to the product label, you should apply 1.5 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water and spray upper and lower leaf surfaces and small trunks, stems and twigs to the point of runoff where pests appear. Repeat applications as necessary up to a total of four times per year for trees and six times per year for ornamental shrubs and flowers, but not more than once every seven days.

We would also recommend using a systemic insecticide in the late Spring or early Summer for these pests, such as Fertilome Tree and Shrub Systemic Insect Drench.
