    Will Sevin Concentrate work on sowbugs?
    A

    Sevin Concentrate is labeled for application to ornamental trees, shrubs, and flowers for sowbugs.  You will mix 1.5 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water and spray upper and lower leaf surfaces as well as small trunks, stems and twigs to the point of runoff where pests appear.  Repeat applications as necessary up to a total of four times per year.

    Can Sevin Concentrate be used to treat a stack of firewood?
    A

    Neither Sevin Concentrate or any other insecticide product should ever be used on firewood or any material that is intended to be burned.  You can treat the ground under and around where you plan to have the firewood stacked for any insects that may be in the area.

    Can I use Sevin Concentrate to spray my out buildings for Carpenter bees?
    A

    Sevin Concentrate could leave an oily residue and is not directly designed to be applied to structures. We recommend to apply a product like Cy Kick CS along with dusting in any bored holes with Delta Dust.

    How many days or weeks should I wait to distribute the Green Lacewings on my tomatoes after I have sprayed them with Liquid Sevin?
    Delivery date for the Lacewings will be weeks from today which is May 22.
    A

    It is recommended that you wait at least 7-14 days after applying Sevin Concentrate to use lacewings. Orcon Ladybug and Lacewing need to be used within 2-3 days of receipt since their body fat has been depleted.

    Can I use Sevin Concentrate on canada chokecherry trees?
    A

    Sevin Concentrate is labeled for applications on fruit trees, ornamentals, vegetable gardens, shrubs, flowers, outdoor insect perimeter control in residential areas. A Canada Chokecherry Tree is not specifically listed on the product label.

    Is it safe to use Sevin Concentrate on Zipper Peas? And how many days should I wait to harvest?
    A

    Sevin Concentrate is not labeled to be applied to Zipper Peas. Pyganic Gardening would be a better option for you. The PHI is 7 days.

    Sevin Concentrate is labeled to treat for Harlequin Bugs. Mix 1.5 - 3.0 oz per gallon of water and applied using a hand pump sprayer or a hose end sprayer.

    Sevin Concentrate is not labeled for use on slugs.  We  would recommend using Sluggo Plus instead.

    Can I use Sevin concentrate for sod webworms?
    A

    Sevin Concentrate should only be applied to vegetables, fruit, and ornamentals and not on lawns/pastures. We do carry products that can be applied in the lawn for the treatment of armyworms.

    Can Sevin Concentrate be used on green beans?
    A

    The Sevin product label states: Do not use on fresh/succulent peas and beans. Depending on the veggie treated the PHI or Pre Harvest Interval is 3-21 days before harvest. You can find this chart on the product label. You may also contact GardenTech at 888-558-1990 for further advice about the beans.

    What is the ratio of Sevin Concentrate to water for grass to kill Chinch bugs?
    A

    Sevin Concentrate cannot be applied to lawns. We recommend using Sevin Granules that are safe for the lawn and applied for controlling chinch bugs. Apply at a rate of 1.15 lbs - 11.50 lbs per 1,000 sq ft using a ground or hand spreader.

    Yes, you can bring a plant indoors after the application of Sevin Concentrate has had time to dry completely.

    Will spraying Sevin Concentrate for fleas outdoors harm my free range chickens?
    A

    Sevin Concentrate is not labeled for fleas nor approved to be used around poultry.  Talstar P  would be a better option.  It is labeled to be used in poultry houses and chicken pens and is labeled for fleas.  Chickens must be out of the area while you apply Talstar P but can return as soon as everything is dry.

    Sevin Concentrate is only labeled for outdoor use. We suggest using Talstar P for general indoor and outdoor insect control.

    Sevin is only labeled for outdoor use so would not be used inside. We offer an Indoor Flea Kit.

    It is best to wait 24 hours after an applcation Sevin Concentrate to water.

    Can you use Sevin Concentrate after watering your flowers?
    A

    Sevin Concentrate can be applied as directed on the product label after watering. Keep in mind that certain plants such as annuals may be sensitive to the final spray solution. A limited area should be treated and observed for one week prior to application to the entire planting.
