    Q
I put alot of the 5% sevin dust under my deck. Now I'm worrying about breathing in the dust when the wind blow
Now I want it gone, can I just spray it with water to get rid of it? Do you think the wind is stirring it up.
    A

Dust such as Sevin Dust can move with the wind if it is applied very heavily or to very dry areas. We do not think there would be concern about being on the deck above where the product has been used. If you wet the area with a hose or watering can, then the dust will break down more quickly and be absorbed into the ground.

    Q
I used Sevin-5% in bedrooms by placing 1/4 tsp on paper towels and removed after 24 hrs. Should I be concern?
    This was for Asian Beetles.
    A
Since Sevin 5% was used outside of label we highly recommend to contact GardenTech 866-945-5033 for further assistance. As long as people or pets did not contact the product and you have completely taken up the product, we do not see an issue for concern. We would still like for you to contact GardenTech just to be sure.

    Q
Can Sevin Dust 5% be used on okra pods? If so how many days do I have to wait to harvest?
    A
This particular product Sevin Dust 5% is not labeled for use on okra. We do carry another product that contains the same active ingredient called Fertilome Liquid Carbaryl Spray and it is labeled for use on okra. With Fertilome Liquid Carbaryl Spray you will need to have a 3 day preharvest interval.

    Q
Can Sevin Dust 5% be used to kill bees and prevent them from entering the area where their hive is?
entering an outdoor outlet on our deck.
    A
Sevin is not labeled for bees. We would recommend using Delta dust or Tempo dust for eliminating bees that have been entering the outlet. Dusts do not offer an immediate knockdown but instead kill over a couple of days. Dusts will keep killing for several months after they have been applied to covered areas.

    Q
Can Sevin Dust be used for scabies in the home?
    A

Sevin Dust is for outdoor use only and is not labeled for scabies.  Scabies mites only live on/in the skin and we do not carry anything to treat humans. Most folks need to visit their doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies. You may spray your furniture with a product such as Steri-Fab to kill anything on furniture, though treating the home is usually not necessary.

    Q
Will a heavy coat of Sevin Dust hurt my garden plants?
We dusted 2 days ago & the duster put out a rather heavy coating. We have squash, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes & canteloupe. We want to kill the cucumber beetles, but don't want to harm the plants.
    A

Per the product label for Sevin Dust, you should apply a thin, even film of dust to plant surfaces. Do not reapply more than once a week. If there is still a heavy dust application after several days, then you may rinse the plants to remove excess dust to prevent phytoxicity or other sensitivity. Be sure to follow the label for pre-harvest intervals and maximum number of applications per year.
