Chris from Navarre, Florida writes

Should plumbing chases be treated with Termidor SC where the pipes penetrate the ground?

My house is a single story with a concrete slab on grade foundation and has interior plumbing chases easily accessible through access panels. When a panel is opened, I can see the water and sewer pipes going directly into the untreated soil below. Should the exposed soil in these cavities be sprayed or soaked as part of the treatment process? Does Termidor give off dangerous gases?

Answer:

If you are able to access the soil around the pipes, yes, it would be recommended to treat the top few inches with Termidor SC around them.    There is no harmful fumes released.
