    Q
Can Snake Out Snake Repellent be used on the inside of a home?
    A

Snake Out Snake Repellent is meant for use outside around the home, since the snakes natural environment is outside.  The product does not say you cannot use the product inside, however this product has a strong odor, and is meant for use outside.  The smell may become too strong for in the house, so we would advise placing the product inside something first to easily remove it if the smell is too strong.

    Q
What does snake out repel? does it work with poisonous snakes such as copperheads, rattlesnakes, etc
    A
Snake Out will help to repel just about any kind of snake. Having said this you should realize that a very hungry or scared snake will suffer the discomfort and slither over the repellent if absolutely necessary. Snake Out should be used as part of a snake control program, not as the only control method.  If you are having a snake problem on your property you most likely are having a rodent problem nearby. You can help to make your property less favorable to snakes by getting rid of any rodents. You can do this by utilizing tamper resistant bait stations loaded with a high quality rodenticide. We have several rodent bait kits which may fit your needs. Snakes will naturally go to better hunting grounds if they can not find a food source. Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Q
    Will dogs cross the barrier?
We have "doggie doors" to allow our dogs access to the outside (2 of them: one on our front door, leading to a screen porch, and the other from the screen porch to the backyard). I woke up yesterday after a nightmare about snakes freaking out that snakes could get in the dog doors. But -- if I put a barrier of Snake Out outside the exterior dog door -- will my DOGS be hesitant to cross that barrier, too (because of the smell) ?
    A
Most pets would be repelled by Snake Away  in addition to snakes.  That being said, it can be harmful to pets if consumed.  You should do what you can to keep children and pets away as much as possible from the product.

    Q
Will Snake Out kill or get rid of lizards and geckos?
    A
Snake Out Snake Repellent is only designed to repel snakes. The best way to eradicate Lizards and Geckos is to take away their food source. We recommend treating for flies and crawling insects. Talstar P is great product to use, both indoors and out. Talstar is odorless, dries clear, and the best part about this product is that it will treat over 75 different pest.

    Q
Can I use Snake Out once a snake is already is confined in a garage and I want him to come out?
It is a 12 in rattle snake. A dangerous situation. However I thought the smell would over power him .. once the door is open off he goes..? this is my wishful theory. I should do over kill do sticky traps also.
    A

Yes, you can use Snake Out outdoors around your home. Be sure to only use it on three sides of the home for your initial application so that the snake leaves. After the snake it gone, you can put the barrier around the fourth side of your home. You can also use a glueboard in the area to catch it as well.

Also, please check out our Snake Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent snakes.

    Q
I have read that snake repellents do not work. Is this true?
I found a 3 foot snake skin in my attic.
    A

Results when using snake repellents such as Snake Out or Snake Away can vary as it depends on the species of snake you are trying to repel.  Not all repellents work for all snakes.  You should refer to the product labels to ensure that the species you need to keep away is listed.

    Q
How do you apply Snake Out around the perimeter of the house outside?
    A
Using the convenient dispenser cap on this package, lightly sprinkle a band 6 – 8 inches
wide, next to and around the area you wish to protect. It is not necessary to completely
cover the ground with product. One pound will treat a band 8 inches wide by 50 feet in
length. Do not water in after application. Reapply product after heavy rains or every two
    weeks to obtain best results.
