We recommend that you use them one week apart to avoid over-stressing your turf. You should apply the Barricade first as it needs to be watered in. Atrazine is a bit different. Rain or water within 2 or 3 days of application may decrease the effectiveness on emerged weeds. However, for the control of weeds from seeds, rainfall or watering is necessary within 7 to 10 days after treatment.
According to the Southern Ag Atrazine Weed Killer for St Augustine Grass product label this product should not be applied over the rooting area of trees, ornamentals, vegetables or other desirable plants other than the indicated turfgrasses. A product like Opti Amine 2,4-D Amine Herbicide may be applied over top of corn to control broadleaf weeds.
