    Spectracide Triazicide

    By Thomas on 07/13/2018

I purchased the recommended insecticide for cutworms Spectracide Triazicide. The purchase was quick and the delivery prompt. The cut worms in the area I treated were so bad last year that they killed 100% of my sunflowers. I treated immediately after planting this year and I obtained and attained a 90% stand from just the one treatment. I obtained the same results for my squash and cucumbers. I am very satisfied with the results. I had tried sevin dust last year but think the worms ate it for desert. I'm very satisfied with the product I received. I add the caution to be sure you read about the insecticide you use and apply it properly at the right dosage to avoid any problems.

Q
Do I have to water the same day I put out Triazicide?
A

Per the product label for Spectracide Triazicide Once & Done Insect Killer Concentrate, when treating for surface insects you would want to delay watering for 24 hours after application.  For subsurface insect control (mole crickets, grubs), you would water the treated area with additional 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water after application for optimum results.  This should be done as close to application as possible.
