Adding a surfactant to SpeedZone Southern Herbicide EW may reduce selectivity on turfgrass so it could harm your lawn.

Do not broadcast apply Speedzone when air temperatures exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Injury to desirable plants may occur and efficacy may also be impacted.
SpeedZone Southern Herbicide EW will get rid of clover in warm season grasses, listed on the label. Please refer to the label fo complete application instructions as SpeedZone Southern Herbicide cannot be applied as a broadcast or spot treatment more than 2 times per season. A minimum of 30 days is required between applications if needed. For lily pads, we suggest Rodeo Herbicide. If you are making an application with ta sprayer you would use approz 2 and 2/3 oz per gallon or 5 pints of Rodeo per acre.
SpeedZone Southern Herbicide EW is not labeled for use used on horse pastures. Livestock should not be allowed to graze in areas where this product was applied.
The rate for SpeedZone Southern Herbicide EW will depend on what grass type you have and the size of the area you are treating. Please refer to the product label for complete instructions.
Per the label, you will apply 2 to 4 pt/acre ( 0.7 to 1.5 fl. oz./1000 sq. ft.) of SpeedZone Southern Herbicide EW to Centipede grass.
SpeedZone Southern Herbicide EW is formulated for sensitive warm-season southern grasses but can also be used on listed tolerant cool season grasses and the percentage of active ingredients are also a bit different from Speedzone EW Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf.
Speedzone is going to target broadleaf weeds only and safe for bermuda lawns at the rate of 0.75 to 1.5 fl oz per 1000 sq ft. The maximum broadcast applications is limited to 2 applications per year with 30 days between applications. Spot applications can be applied if needed to directly to targeted weeds at 30 day intervals.
According to the manufacturer, the main difference is that the SpeedZone Southern EW delivers visible activity in hours, with weed death occurring within 7 to 14 days and does this with a lower odor profile and lower Volatile Organic Contents (VOC) compared to original SpeedZone.

SpeedZone Southern Herbicide - 2.5 Gallons is labeled to be used in some species of fescue lawns but does not specify blue fescues such as festuca. We would recommend checking directly with PBI Gordon to confirm, they can be reached at 800-821-7925.
SpeedZone Southern Herbicide EW is labeled for use on St. Augustine turf in general, however it should not be applied to Floratam or Bitterblue varieties of St. Augustine, per the product label.
SpeedZone Southern Herbicide EW is a selective herbicide that will target only listed broadleaf weeds as directed to listed, established turfgrasses. It is not labeled for grassy weeds like poa annua.
