    Q
Risk of a two year old walking barefoot for a few minutes on lawn on which Speedzone was applied several hours
Is there significant risk for a two-year-old girl toddler who walked barefoot on a lawn for a few minutes, several hours after Speedzone was applied?
    A

SpeedZone Southern Herbicide treated areas are safe to walk on once dry.  A few hours after application should have been enough time for this to happen.  Just be sure no areas are wet before allowing contact.

    Q
Can I mix SpeedZone Southern Herbicide and Turflon Ester in San Jose, CA?
    A

As long as the two labels are not competing on where you are allowed to use them, and you follow the more restrictive label for application you should be able to tank mix the two with no problem. Always do a tank mix text first to ensure no adverse reactions and spot treat an area before treating the whole yard with the mixture.

  • Asked by Ed from Underhill, Vt

    Q
What setting do I use for my Ortho Garden Hose Sprayer using SpeedZone Southern Herbicide?
The setting range from 1 tsp to 8 oz. I can't find a mix rate for using hose water to spread on lawn.
    A

Post-emergent herbicides are not recommended to be used in a hose end sprayer because those sprayers are not accurate enough to apply the correct amount of SpeedZone Southern Herbicide. You will need to use a hand pump sprayer and uniformly spray the product over the specified area. To decide how much water you want to use, you should mark a 1,000 sq ft area, fill your sprayer with water ONLY, and start walking and spraying just as if you were doing the actual application of herbicide. When you are done walking and spraying the 1,000 sq ft area note how much water it took you to spray that area, and that is the amount you will want to mix  of product with for each 1,000 sq ft area that needs to be treated.  The rate you would then use depends on your lawn type, please refer to the product label for complete instructions.

Most likely Speedzone Red would be better. Please be sure to check the label to make sure your specific turf grass is tolerant.
