I sprayed Ortho Home Defense MAX Insect Killer Indoor & Perimeter all over the flooring to treat for fleas inside my home. How long should I wait to wash my floor again?

Answer:

Ortho Home Defense MAX Insect Killer Indoor & Perimeter with Comfort Wand should not be applied as a broadcast spray indoors for fleas but only as a localized spot treatment per the product label. Treating pet resting quarters and as a localized spray on floors, carpets, rugs, tile, vinyl, etc when fleas/ticks may be present. Old pet bedding should be removed and replaced with fresh or laundered pet bedding. Retreatments can be done every 3 months.   Please view the product label for more information including a diagram of approved areas to treat indoors. The Indoor Flea Kit would be a better option for active flea infesations indoors and allow the repeat treatments that are required for fleas every 14 days. Repeat applications are required and can take 3-4 treatments depending on the level of flea population. Our Flea Treatment Guide goes over step by step how to eliminate fleas from your home.
