I ordered a bag and applied, yet was skeptical due to my area and soil. Well, the seed has done great, so great that I ordered another bag and finished the job! Fescue for my area & soil is perfect! Not all grasses are for all areas, but to prevent wash out, have good rooting grass, as well as, finally to have a just grass seed that works, is awesome!

I had sod put down in our back yard and the company I hired used a bag of this seed to spread into all of the cracks and seams between the sod square. After a couple of weeks of daily watering this grass seed sprouted up and has only thrived since. Months later, I had a rather large area in my front yard which was eroding so I bought a 25lb bag for to see if I could fix it and get some grass back. This spot was historically hard to get anything to grow. Again, a couple of weeks after spreading and daily watering this seed came up and the grass is greener and more alive than ever. It's stopped the erosion and neighbors are asking me about “my trick” to green grass. I just send them a picture of this seed and they are on their way to a greener, fuller lawn. Thanks!

After paying several landscaping companies and still having a sad looking lawn, I decided to do it myself. Killed what was there, amended the soil, and over seeded with this product. I didn't believe it when I read that it would germinate within 7 days. Was pleasantly surprised that it did. The grass is far above what was ever there before. I'm in the Atlanta area so I was looking for something that could handle this climate. If you are on the fence about buying this seed, don't hesitate. It is truly worth it.

I'm from Nebraska. I struggle to grow grass or anything else. Tilled up about 2500 sq ft to a depth of 1". Spread the seed very heavy. Drug it with a harrow and drove over it with my 4 wheeler to compct. Set sprinklers to water every 3 hours for 5 minutes. After only 5 DAYS I had a lot of grass showing! Been 8 days now and I'm ecstatic. It's coming in very thick. This stuff is the bomb!

After nearly 2 weeks, with 2x daily misting, and 3x weekly heavy watering, still no gemination

Most grass seed will start growing in about 10-14 days, but sometimes it can take up to 30 days. Because you have seen some signs of growth with the 5 Star Fescue Grass Seed Blend, we suggest waiting to see if there is any more growth within the next week. It likely could just use a little more time.

Second time purchasing this seed. Last year established about 2400 sq. Feet over bare ground. Had 7 day germination….no weed seeds, held up well to late summer heat with no fungus issues, unlike the local sod that we laid. Bought again this fall to overseed. I feel sure I will buy again. Appreciate the free and fast shipping. It's a win win for me!

I bought two 50 pound bags about three weeks apart. The first bag was great. The seeds germinated and grew grass in about 10 days with very little weeds. The second bag also germinated and started growing fast but it had a lot of weeds and I will have to deal with weed control to get my yard looking great.

When ordered this seed I was concerned about shipping and was told it is shipped a box to protect. Arrived early and excellent shape. Like 5 Star seed for a winter yard. I live in Arkansas, the humidity and heat kills a year round lawn, but I overseed each fall and spring.

After having fescue grass sodded in the Spring, this Fall was the first time to over-seed. At the advise of a neighbor who has had fescue for many years, I ordered this seed. When I went online to DoMyOwn and typed in what I was looking for, I had trouble finding the exact thing at first. But eventually I found it after several searches. After that, the ease of ordering and fast delivery was great! I will certainly come back.

It grew amazing for me. The light green really pops out from the kbg everywhere surrounding me. I ended up blending kbg with it later just so I don't stick out like a sore thumb but would recommend these seeds ten times over.

I live in the mountains of NC. I've tried every version of big box seed and local nursery varieties. This seed BY FAR is the best I've used. It germinated like the label said. It's green and lush. I hope it continues this way thru the next year.

Germination was initially fairly quick but the top growth is very slow in coming and the blades are very thin. After three weeks blades are only 2 inches in many areas and many open areas in the yard where seed is just sitting dormant. Temps and moisture seem to be ideal as neighbors' yards are flush w/ new seedlings that did not use this blend. These are not medium bladed seeds and tilling is yet to be determined for full coverage. yard was aerated and top dressed but seeds were only shallow covered with light dusting, even starter fertilizer has failed to make any noticeable difference. Will not be using again as i now have to over seed again with a different blend.

This blend of dwarf tall fescue grass seeds is different from what was shown in the product details, but it is a better blend. The blend will differ year to year based upon the crop availability. The seed is grown in Oregon and the drought and fire problems will affect the seed crop production. Expect the type and quantity of each of the seed types in the blend to be different than what is advertised. But the seed blend will be the dwarf tall fescue seed types. The seed types in what I received were better than those advertised.
