    Q
How long is the effect of spraying against houseflies?
How often (average) does one have to spray to get rid of a housefly problem?
    A
The SureKill Total Release Aerosol will only kill what is out and exposed at the time the fogger is activated and will last until the fog dissipates. You may use the SureKill Total Release Aerosol as needed. Just be sure to leave the home for atleast 2 hours after use.

    Q
How long should we stay out of the house after using SureKill Total Release Aerosol?
    A

Per the product label for SureKill Total Release Aerosol, people and animals should be kept out of the treatment area until after application and ventilation. This will be a minimum of 4 hours after application since you will need to wait 2 hours after application to open windows, vents, and doors for 2 hours. If an odor is still detectable at that time, then additional ventilation would be required. Please be sure you read and follow all label instructions on foggers such as SureKill.

    Q
Will SureKill Total Release Aerosol get rid of bed bugs?
    A

No, it is not recommended to use SureKill Total Release Aerosol or any other type of fogger to treat for bed bugs.  When foggers are released they simply spray up into the air and then settle down onto surfaces.  They do not penetrate into the cracks and crevices where bedbugs actually hide.  Using a fogger for bedbugs could also irritate the bedbugs and force them deeper into cracks and crevices or into wall voids, making effective treatments much more difficult or even impossible.  Most foggers on the market are not recommended for bedbugs for these reasons.  In order to treat a bed bug infestation thoroughly, you must use multiple products and follow the appropriate guidelines for treating individual items such as clothes, shoes, electronics, etc.  We recommend using one of our bed bug control kits, which will come with all of the products you need to do an effective bed bug treatment.

    Q
Is SureKill Total Release Aerosol a propellant or non repellent? And does it work with German cockroaches?
    A

SureKill Total Release Aerosol is considered more of a repellent insecticide only because it can be detected. Though it is a fogger only to kill on contact those insects out in the open at the time you use it and there is no residual.  It would not be recommended alone for roach infestations, only to use when you need to knockdown a high population out in the open.

One of our roach control kits would be recommended for roach control. These professional kits includes non-staining, low odor concentrated insecticide for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get Roach Bait Gel to help get rid of those roaches that like to hide. Baits can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, an Insect Growth Regulator is offered which will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals. The insecticide must be applied with a 1 gallon pump sprayer.

    Q
Does using SureKill Total Release Aerosol in the attic require leaving the house?
I have an infestation of wasps in my attic, and have been advised to use this product there. Would this require leaving the house for the requisite 4 hours, or can we stay since only the attic space is being treated?
    A

If you are using a fogger inside the home, it is best to leave the structure during the treatment time as directed. SureKill Total Release Aerosol does not lists wasps as a target insect on the product label.  You may wish to contact the manufacturer Chem-Tech directly if you have specific questions not listed on the label at 515-287-6778.  We would recommend our Wasp and Hornet Control Kit, which has the professional insecticides needed to kill wasps and hornets in and around your home, and can be used in your attic space.
