  • Asked by Robert from New Orleans, La
    04/06/2016
    Q
Can Suspend Polyzone be sprayed on carpets (mixed with an IGR) for fleas?
Exterminator was previously spraying Dragnet mixed with IGR on all flooring services in my house, including carpet, tile and hardwood. I would like to start treating on my own and see that Dragnet is discontinued. Can I spray this on all floors, if not where should it be sprayed indoors or other suggestions?
    A

Suspend Polyzone is only for treating cracks and crevices inside, it cannot be used as a broadcast across floors.  Tengard is an option that has the same active as Dragnet.  For hard surfaces though you do not need to treat the entire floor.  Treatment should be more directed to cracks and crevices on hardwood and tile floors as that is where the eggs and young would be. Please see our Flea Treatment Guide for more tips and information about treating this pest.

  • Asked by Jennifer from Vanceburg, Ky
    04/29/2016
    Q
Can you use Suspend Polyzone if you are pregnant?
    A

We do not recommend that you do the treatment of Suspend Polyzone, but rather have someone else spray for you just to stay on the side of caution during pregnancy. We recommend that you stay out of the treated area until it has completely dried and then it would be safe to return to.

  • Asked by Margaret from Hallandale Beach, Fl
    03/10/2018
    Q
Is Suspend Polyzone pet friendly/odor free?
I have been using RAID to kill roaches that have infiltrated our hallway since a new tenant moved in next door to me. I spray every morning and evening - and then because I have COPD, my lungs hurt and I get asthma attacks.
    A

Suspend Polyzone is safe in homes that have children and pets if used as directed on the product label. They should not be in the treated area during application and when the surfaces are wet. They can re-enter when completely dried. The scent has a sweet characteristic, mild odor that eventually dissipates. We recommend that you do not spray with any liquids if your lungs hurt and you have asthma attacks and COPD. We recommend that you apply a professional roach bait gel such as the Maxforce bait stations and consult with your doctor for treatments that are safe for you. We do offer non-poisonous glue boards also.

  • Asked by Tim from Texas
    07/04/2021
    Q
    Suspend Polyzone a repellent?
How can it be a repellent when it kills, elaborate more on this? A true repellent repellent, This product kills.
    A

Suspend Polyzone is considered a repellent because insects can detect it. This does not mean they are truly repelled from the area they can just choose to avoid it as they know something is there. They must contact the treated area to be effected by the product though

  • Asked by Shane from Murrells Inlet
    03/29/2017
    Q
What is an all around good outdoor product to treat the exterior of 6 adjoining rental units?
I was looking at Suspend SC.
    A

Suspend SC is an excellent product and should give you great results.  It controls a wide variety of crawling, flying, turf, and ornamental pests found in and around households, including, but not limited to, ants, bed bugs, beetles, boxelder bugs, chinch bugs, fleas, mosquitos, pantry pests, roaches, and spiders.

If you are treating outdoors, you may want to consider using Suspend Polyzone.  It features a proprietary polymer layer that protects the active ingredient from weather, irrigation and mechanical abrasion. This controlled release formulation, which resists erosion, ensures your treatment will continue to control targeted pests for up to 90 days outdoors. It also stays right where you put it, so if you want to increase the effectiveness of your treatments, put the science of Suspend Polyzone to work for you.

  • Asked by Jeff from Eastport, Mi
    06/22/2016
    Q
What amount is recommended mix per gal in a 50 gal sprayer for mosquitoes in a yard?
    A

The mixing ratio of Suspend Polyzone is 0.25-1.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water for mosquitoes. It is recommended that you treat at the higher ratio, which is 1.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water for your first treatment, and for subsequent treatments, use 0.25 fl. oz. per gallon of water. For 50 gallons of water, you will use 12.5-75 fl. oz.

  • Asked by Lee from Tennessee
    04/03/2020
    Q
Can Suspend Polyzone be mixed with Demon WP for outdoor use?
I want to mix Suspend Polyzone with Demon WP for outdoor insect control. Can I mix these two insecticides?
    A

You cannot mix Demon WP with Suspend Polyzone.  Both of these products are synthetic pyrethroids, so there would be nothing to gain by mixing these products together. Making a pesticide too strong can actually backfire. Areas that are treated with this overly concentrated spray will be repellent and insects will simply avoid the treated areas prolonging the infestation.

  • Asked by Oscar from Ft. Worth, Tx
    06/14/2015
    Q
Is Suspend Polyzone a good choice for spider or bee problems?
I need the best priced (preferably under 40 bucks) concentrate pesticide that I can spray around the perimeter of the house and should I happen to encounter a nasty spider or bee, spray them and they immediately go down. I'm more concerned about having spider knock down for the nasty types of spiders.
    A
Suspend Polyzone is a very good product that will last about 90 days outdoors. It is not a contact kill so it will take time in order to kill the pests. This can be used indoors as well, around the baseboards, cracks and crevices. Outdoors, it can be used on brushes, trees, flowers, broadcast across your lawn, etc. It cannot be sprayed on any type of edibles. If you are looking for a faster knockdown, we would recommend mixing this product with ExciteR Insecticide.

  • Asked by Bill from North Port, Fl
    11/23/2015
    Q
What is the best product to kill or get rid of millipedes in Southwest Florida?
    A

We would recommend using Suspend Polyzone. This product features a proprietary polymer layer that protects the active ingredient from weather, irrigation and mechanical abrasion which is perfect for Florida weather. This will last approximately 90 days indoors and outdoors. Be sure to spray around the perimeter of your home, around windows and doors, etc. when treating outdoors. Indoors, you will spray around baseboards, cracks and crevices. The mixing ratio is 0.75 fl. oz. per gallon of water. Once the product has dried completely, it is safe for animals and children to return to the area. It is important to keep in mind that millipedes breed in moist, dark areas, so look for ways you can make the environment less conducive for these insects. See our General Pest Prevention Guide for information on how to use good sanitation and exclusion to eliminate these an other pests from your home.

  • Asked by Stephen
    08/31/2019
    Q
Can bugs detect Suspend Polyzone or Demand SC?
    A

Both Demand CS and Suspend Polyzone are considered repellents so insects are able to detect that either product has been applied to an area.  This does not mean that they are repelled from the area as they do have to contact the product to be effected by it.

  • Asked by Mike from Waterford, Michigan
    09/16/2013
    Q
Will Suspend Polyzone work for Carpenter ants?
    A
Suspend Polyzone will carpenter ants that come in contact with the treated area. We recommend using a product that will be taken back the colony like our Carpenter Ant Kit.
Both baits work together to eliminate the carpenter ant colony. Certain carpenter ants may take better to one bait than the other, giving you a greater chance of bait acceptance and effectiveness. In addition, the Maxforce gel is more versatile in where you can place it. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Asked by Diane from Cave Creek, Az
    05/05/2015
    Q
Will Suspend Polyzone harm the wild lizards outside my home?
    A
As long as Suspend Polyzone is not sprayed directly on the lizards the product should not cause them harm. You will see a reduction of the lizards however because by spraying Suspend Polyzone you will be eliminating their food source near your home and they will naturally go in search of better hunting grounds.

    A

Suspend Polyzone would last 90 days outside.  Another option is a microencapsulated product like Cyzmic CS which can last 60-90 days outside.

    Better then Talstar P?
What's the difference between these 2 products, is this one better?

Suspend Polyzone and Talstar SC have two different active ingredients.  Suspend Polyzone lasts about 90 days outdoors and indoors, while Talstar SC lasts about 30 days outdoors and 90 days indoors.
