    Q
Can I apply Suspend Polyzone on plants/soil on a green wall that has millipedes?
I have millipedes on my green wall within the soil and at the wet bottom where soil and plant debris fall. How would I apply?
    A

You can treat your ornamental green wall with Suspend Polyzone to get rid of millipedes. We would recommend to spray with low pressure to avoid splashing the solution. Keep in mind that millipedes prefer wet soil, so you may need to look at how you are irrigating the plants so that you can reduce the amount of moisture in these areas and ultimately change the conditions that are favoring development for the millipedes.

  • Asked by Bob from Mountain City, Tn

    Q
Are there additives in Suspend Polyzone?
We live in the mountains of North Eastern TN, and there are some REALLY NASTY spiders here. I killed a black widow with a body the size of the end joint of my little finger! I have some monsters in the crawlspace to. Is there an additive that raises the killing power of Suspend Polyzone? Is it ok to fog the crawlspace first, then a week later go in and spray?
    A

There is not additive for the Suspend Polyzone to make it more effective against spiders really. You could add ExciteR with the Polyzone to give a faster knockdown during application only to all insects. Something like Onslaught Fastcap is also an option with both if you want a faster initial knockdown and a product more designed for harder to kill insects like spiders.

Fogging only kills those insect out in the open at the time you do so.  You can fog and then apply a residual once the air has been well venilated.

Do I need to wear a mask when spraying Suspend Polyzone?
    A

The Suspend Polyzone MSDS label recommends the following precautions when applying:

Respiratory Protection: When respirators are required, select NIOSH approved equipment based on actual or potential airborne concentrations and in accordance with the appropriate regulatory standards and/or industry recommendations.

When treating areas directly over your head, wear eye protection (safety glasses, goggles or face shield) and dust/mist mask or respirator.

    Q
If I cover my ac unit, can I spray Suspend Polyzone around it?
I would like to prevent entry of American cockroaches through AC unit, but I assume we would not want to spray the unit directly. Is it safe to cover it with a plastic drop cloth or tarp and spraying around the unit?
    A

You could potentially spray Suspend Polyzone around an AC unit as long as you are not spraying directly into any vents or electrical equipment. Be sure that you have installed the unit correctly and sealed up the edge properly. It would be unlikely for roaches to enter through equipment like that if it is properly maintained and in working order.

    Q
What is the best product for outdoor use that will kill stink bugs and lady bugs?
I am looking for an insecticide that has a long residual, low odor, that won't stain and also safe for pets. I would like to apply the insecticide with my powered back pack blower/sprayer.
    A
We would recommend using Temprid SC. It is labeled for lady bugs and stink bugs. This can be used indoors and outdoors. Outdoors, be sure to spray the areas around doors, windows, and other entrance points for the pests. This can also be used indoors around the baseboards and cracks and crevices. This can be sprayed about every 30 days outdoors and 90 days indoors.

This controlled release formulation, which resists erosion, ensures your treatment will continue to control targeted pests for up to 90 days outdoors.

  • Asked by David from Stewartstown, Nh
    05/03/2017
    Q
Which dilution rate and application volume of Suspend Polyzone do I use to spray for Cluster Flies?
My power sprayer sprays 2.1 gpm, up to 60 psi.
    A

The Suspend Polyzone label advises, "Apply low pressure (do not exceed 50 psi at nozzle tip) mist or spray to outside of surfaces"

For a Residual Spray: Apply to surfaces on building exteriors, porches, patios and other structures, around door and windows, eaves and attic vents, utility entry points, soffit areas and other exterior openings (including foundation cracks or drilled holes) where pests enter the structure or where they have been seen or found, or can find shelter.

Perimeter Treatments: Treat the outside of the structure, including walls (to a height of 2 to 3 feet), around door and window frames, and soffits where pests are active or may enter or hide. Treat the soil, turf, or other ground covering adjacent to the structure (in a band up to 10 feet wide) where pests are seen. Depending if you are looking for a low, mid or high percentage rate you will use:

0.25 fluid ounce (7.5 milliliter) per 1,000 square feet of surface

0.75 fluid ounce (22.7 milliliter) per 1,000 square feet of surface

1.50 fluid ounce (45.4 milliliter) per 1,000 square feet of surface

    Q
If I use Suspend Polyzone on every treatment will I be creating a resistant mosquito to it?
    A

Suspend Polyzone should be applied once every 90 days outside for mosquitoes. If sprayed too often or for long periods of time, you can notice some resistance. We recommend that you take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Mosquitoes for a successful eradication program.

  • Asked by Ken from Mililani Oahu, Hawaii
    07/26/2017
    Q
Will Suspend Polyzone help to control crickets?
    A

Yes, Suspend Polyzone can be used to control crickets.  Indoors, you will apply as a crack and crevice or spot spray to areas where pests hide, such as baseboards, corners, storage areas, closets, around water pipes, doors and windows, behind and under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, furnaces, stoves, the underside of shelves, drawers and similar areas. Pay particular attention to cracks and crevices. We recommend treating the outside perimeter to help stop insect pests from coming indoors to start with. Apply Suspend Polyzone to a band of soil and vegetation 6 to 10 feet wide around and adjacent to the structure. Also, treat the foundation of the structure to a height of 2 to 3 feet.
