    Q
I used Suspend SC for roaches and there are tons more roaches now. Does that mean it's working?
    A

Suspend SC is labeled for roaches and should do a great job helping you eliminate the infestation. It is possile that after the first application you may see a couple of more roaches than before, but you should start to see some results after 3-4 weeks. This product is designed to kill insects, including roaches, that cross it’s path. It is not designed to eradicate roaches alone in every situation. We recommend, that in addition to a concentrated liquid insecticide like Suspend SC, you also use a high quality roach bait gel indoors such as Maxforce FC Magnum to help get the roaches that hide in places where you cannot spray (cabinets, counter tops, drawers) as well as an insect growth regulator such as Gentrol Point Source to help stop the breeding cycle of the roaches. You can purchase both of these products together in our Roach Control Kit Rotation A. Instead of Suspend SC, Temprid FX is included in the kit in it’s place. Please take a moment to review our How to Get Rid of Roaches Guide for more information on implementing a successful treatment plan.

    Q
Will Suspend SC kill bird mites?
mites are on chicken and dogs and now us
    A

Yes, Suspend SC will kill bird mites only in poultry houses, it cannot be used in the home for treatment. Suspend SC should NOT be applied to the chickens, dogs or humans for the treatment of bird mites. Bird mites are very difficult to treat and control so in addition to just spraying you also need to vacuum regularly and thoroughly.  Also the use of some other key products in addition to Suspend SC will help treat the mites faster.  Please read our "How to Get Rid of Bird Mites" article for further recommendations.

    Q
I checked with Bayer and they say that Suspend "suppresses" mites meaning it only kills 50% so not sure you
can say it is that effective. Also says this on the label. Have your customers found it effective for bird mites?
    A
Suspend SC is not labeled for bird mites and we do not recommend it for that use. Susped is successfully used for plant infesting mites. It is important to be absolutely sure you are actually dealing with bird mites. Have the suspected bird mite identified by a reputable source, such as your local cooperative extension office or a reputable pest control operator. Treatments will vary for different pests. Treatment for say bedbugs is much different than the treatment for bird mites.  If you do indeed have bird mites, you must first find the source of the infestation, usually a bird nest or a dead bird on or in the home. Removal of the infested nest or bird and a thorough cleanup is necessary. For treatment in the home, we recommend you frequently vacuum all carpet and upholstery and dispose of the bag or vacuum contents in a sealed bag outdoors. Spray Sterifab on couches, chairs and other upholstered furniture where you may spend time resting. Use Cimexa dust in all cracks and crevices around the perimeter of the room. Apply a thin coat of MotherEarth dust to rugs and carpets. Rake (not sweep) nap back and forth, causing dust to enter rug or carpet. Let product sit overnight. Repeat application as necessary and vacuum every 3 - 4 days for effective control. MotherEarth dust does not have a fast knockdown, it can take several days for insects to die after they contact the dust. Onslaught can be used for a faster knockdown. Thoroughly apply as a fine particle broadcast spray using a hand pump sprayer to infested rugs and carpets and other cracks and crevices around the perimeter of each room. Put all clothes through the dryer on high heat to help kill mites and their eggs.We have had many customers use the above recommendations with great success. Most customers report that it can take several months to get rid of all of the mites. Finding and removing the source of the infestation is very important and is the key to getting rid of the mites for good.

    Q
After treating countertops with Suspend SC and waiting for surface to dry?
How are you to clean the counters before using?
    A

Suspend SC should never be applied to counter tops.  It is only applied to cracks and crevices down low around the home.  If you have applied to the countertop you would need to wash with soap and water to remove the product.  It may take a few times to completely remove it.

    Q
Can we spray Suspend SC on our lawn as preventive care?
Can we spray Suspend SC on our lawn as preventive care to any kind of pests this product could take care off. If yes, what should be the mixing ratio.
    A

Suspend SC can be used as a broadcast spray on lawns and on ornamental plants to protect these areas from lawn/ornamental plant infesting insects and it can be used as a perimeter barrier spray to stop pests from getting into your home. Each of these applications and application rates are very different. Can you tell us specifically what type of application you are trying to complete so we can better advise you?

I need one product for inside insects and one for the outside barrier to combat the various basic insects found in the Central Florida area. What could you advise?

We would recommend using Suspend SC. This product is labeled for various general pests. It can be used indoors and outdoors. The residual indoors is up to 90 days and 30 days outdoors. It does dry clear as well. You will mix 0.25 fl. oz. to 0.75 fl. oz. per gallon of water in a pump sprayer. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
Will suspend SC stain my vinyl siding if I spray the entire exterior of my home.
We live in a heavily wooded area. Other pesticides have stained our siding in the past. If sprayed directly on the vinyl siding (I plan on spraying the entire exterior of my home) will it stain...ever...?
    A
Suspend SC is a water based insecticide that should not stain anything that water itself would not stain. Having said that we always recommend that you test any product you choose on a small inconspicuous area to be sure staining will not occur. Sometimes old paint can be an issue when using any product.

    Q
If using Suspend SC Insecticide to treat for mosquitoes, how far should applications stay from water sources such as ditches, streams, pools, etc?
    A

We would recommend applying Suspend SC at least 15 ft away from a pool or body of water. Please make sure to spray on a non windy day to prevent any possible over drift or spray getting to the water as well as no possibility of runoff into the those water areas.

Please review the product label for more information.

    Q
What would you recommend to kill ants on a brick paver patio?
    A
Suspend SC is a great product to control ants both inside and outside your home. You would mix 1 ounce to 1 gallon of water and spray all around your foundation, window and door frames, nearby foliage of bushes and ornamentals, and any side walks, driveways or in your case pavers, where ants are present. This product dries clear and has almost no odor, and as soon as the product has dried it is safe to resume normal activity in the treated area. Let us know if you have any other questions.

You can mix 1.5 fl oz of Suspend SC per gallon of water monthly on the exterior of the structure.
