    Q
Will Suspend SC harm my dog if he eats out of his food bowl where I had sprayed?
I had sprayed around 5:30pm outside of our home for roaches. My husband feed our dog outside couple hrs after I had sprayed the concrete around 7:40pm. Our dog tends to knock his food out of his bowl and eat the rest off the ground. Because I had sprayed earlier and he licked the area will it make him sick?
    A

Once Suspend SC has dried, it is safe for pets to eat in the area. This should not harm your pet because the product is dry and does not reactivate if the area gets wet again. If you notice any changes in your pet, we would recommend contacting Poison Control and/or your vet.

    Q
What is the best treatment for Black Carpet beetles?
Can whatever you recommend be vacuumed by a regular vacuum with a filter? I have read that some treatments cannot be vacuumed by a filter vac as it will burn it out.
    A

Vacuuming is just as important to carpet beetle elimination as it is to prevention. While liquid and dust insecticides may successfully kill off the adult and larvae stages, they can not kill eggs and pupae. Vacuuming is an effective way to kill these hard-to-eliminate life stages of carpet beetles. When vacuuming, be sure to do so every couple of days while you work your elimination plan. Vacuum over carpeted areas several times and use attachments as need to cover furniture and draperies. Eggs may be hiding in these places as well. Even if you do not reach every egg and pupae with the vacuum, don't worry. Your odorless insecticide such as Suspend SC will still be working, and eventually there will be no more surviving adults to lay more eggs and you will see the end of your problem! You could also apply Drione Dust using a hand duster only after Suspend SC has application had completely dried. Dust should be applied with a hand duster into all cracks and crevices where the spray cannot penetrate. This birth control for insects can be added directly to your liquid insecticide solution (Suspend SC) in the sprayer before spraying. That way you will apply two insecticides at once. While Suspend kills the adult carpet beetles, the Gentrol IGR will kill off the larvae so they are unable to fully develop.

    Q
Is Suspend SC effective to eliminate German roaches?
    A

Suspend SC is labeled to eradicate roaches including German roaches that come into contact with the treated areas. This should not be the only product used for treatment. We recommend that you incorporate an insect growth regulator (IGR) and a professional roach bait gel (in areas that are not treated with Suspend SC). Please take a few moments to review our treatment article, How to Get Rid of Roaches Article, for more helpful information.

    Q
What are the pros and cons of Suspend SC or Permethrin for cluster flies. Do you prefer one over the other?
    A
Either active ingredient is going to give you comparable results.  Big difference is that Suspend SC is odorless whereas Permethrin does have a mild petroleum odor to it.  We recommend that you read our article How to Get rid of Cluster flies. This article will explain how to stop them from coming in and what to do if the cluster flies have already gained entry

Suspend SC is a great residual insecticide to use outside to the cracks, crevices and entry points to the structure. You will treat once a month to the exterior and once every 90 days to interior crevices.

    Q
We need a product that can be used for bees ,mites ,fleas and ants inside on furn plus wall voids
We are having a horrible year for bugs here in north idaho .We started off with ants which progressed to bald faced hornets then yellow jackets and then fleas !! Two days after we noticed the fleas I started getting some kind of micro bug that was crawling on my face and ess any hairy areas . I couldn't see them and only occasionally had a bite from them .I thought it was the fleas at first but after doing some research (this was my first experience with fleas in fourty some years ) I found that they dont stay on humans like that .So after much research and proccess of elimination we came to the conclusion it is mites .So to make a long story short .We have a bee nest in the walls ,bald faced hornet nest under the eves of the car port and ant nest in the walls and god knows what else and the mites and a few fleas in the house . I am a VERY clean person and have been cleaning for 2 months straight and am now at the point where I feel these bugs every now and then but nothing like what it was . Our dog has now suffered an allergic reaction to these mites but the vet could not see a flea or mite on her .I did however see some tannish red very tiny mites in her ear at one point .We also find black things all over the floor on and off .They dont move and seem awfully big to belong to the mite that is microscopic .Can you recommend a product or product's that we can use not only in wall voids but in our whole home (furniture ,walls, cracks ,crevices ) ? We found some kind of nest in the box spring of our bed .Which we removed and steam cleaned the bed and covered with pest rated mattress encasements .We also have a history of having mice and squirrels getting in by our water tank and coming into the wall voids .We blocked as many entrances as we could find and put out decon .But we need a whole house treatment .As economically as possible .This is a rental and we are on fixed incomes and my husband has very serious health problems .So we cant afford a lot and the landlord is no help .If you could recommend the best all purpose (safe as possible) solutions I would be so grateful

It is important to be absolutely sure you are actually dealing with a rat or bird mite. Have the suspected mite identified by a reputable source, such as your local cooperative extension office or a reputable pest control operator. Treatments will vary for different pests. If you do indeed have mites, you must first find the source of the infestation, usually a rat/bird nest or a dead rat/bird on or in the home. Removal of the infested nest or carcasses and a thorough cleanup is necessary. For treatment in the home, we recommend you frequently vacuum all carpet and upholstery and dispose of the bag or vacuum contents in a sealed bag outdoors. Spray Sterifab on couches, chairs and other upholstered furniture where you may spend time resting. Use MotherEarth Dust in all cracks and crevices around the perimeter of the room. Apply a thin coat of MotherEarth dust to rugs and carpets. Rake (not sweep) nap back and forth, causing dust to enter rug or carpet. Let product sit overnight. Repeat application as necessary and vacuum every 3 - 4 days for effective control. MotherEarth dust does not have a fast knockdown, it can take several days for insects to die after they contact the dust. Onslaught can be used for a faster knockdown. Thoroughly apply as a fine particle broadcast spray using a hand pump sprayer to infested rugs and carpets and other cracks and crevices around the perimeter of each room. Put all clothes through the dryer on high heat to help kill mites and their eggs.We have had many customers use the above recommendations with great success. Most customers report that it can take several months to get rid of all of the mites. Since there has not been much research on controlling rodent/bird mites this program is only a suggestion and may not work for every situation. Finding and removing the source of the infestation is very important and is the key to getting rid of the mites for good. Onslaught and Mother Earth are very broadly labeled and can be used to eliminate most common pest insects.

    Q
Caterpillar infestation on my evergreen and rose bushes
I have sprayed Sevin concentrate 2 days in a row and my bushes are still filled with them. Help
    A
Suspend SC is labeled for Caterpillars. Directly spray the plant foliage and nest. The larvae are usually easy to contact if spraying is done in late morning when the larvae congregate on the tent surface to warm in the sun. Mechanical control is also helpful with this pest. The egg masses are easy to spot after the leaves have dropped in the fall. Simply clip off and crush or drop into a bucket of soapy water.
