Suspend SC is a water-based insecticide for which we do not typically hear complaints about any sort of staining or visible residue if the product has been diluted and applied properly. There are many factors that could cause finish to change on flooring. We would recommend contacting the manufacturer, Bayer, for more information about this concern. You can reach them at 800-331-2867.
Suspend SC is labeled for interior crack and crevice application and listed outdoor use for listed pests only. We recommend that you contact your local cooperative extension office for a proper pest id for the mite species that you are experiencing. We recommend that you vacuum and launder belongings and steam while you awaiting the results of the pest identification.
While Suspend SC is labeled for bedbugs and some still use it for that pest, there are some known resisitance issues with it, so it is not commonly recommended. You may want to look over our Bed Bug Guide for more information on treating and preventing this pest.
When looking to tank mix products like an insecticide and herbicide together, you want to follow the most restrictive labeling of the two and be sure that anywhere you may be looking to get insect control is not close to any desirable vegetation like bushes when its mixed with your weed control product. For lawn pests like ants, millipedes, and fleas it would be safe to mix the two so long as you keep the herbicide away from any plants it could harm around the lawn if drift were to occur. In those areas we would recommend only using the Suspend by itself.
Suspend SC when used as directed on the product label is only applied along baseboards and in cracks and crevices inside. It would not be applied across entire floors where you would mop. Only a small amount would possibly be on the floor along the edges of the room after you have sprayed and you should avoid mopping these areas as it will remove the product and the residual it leaves that keeps killing insects.
It is not recommended to apply Cy-Kick two weeks after you have applied Suspend SC. The indoor residual for both is three months. The outdoor residual is 30 days. Please read the product labels for more detailed information on application times and areas.
Per the Suspend SC product label: For control of carpet beetles, fleas and ticks indoors, apply as a coarse, low pressure crack and crevice spot treatment to problem areas and infested habitats. Do not treat entire floor, carpet or floor coverings. Do not apply as a space spray. Application to furniture should be restricted to areas where prolonged contact by humans will not occur. Care should be taken to limit spot treatment to pet beds and infested floor coverings.
The Ultracide you ordered is a fantastic option for indoor broadcast treatments as it has a knock down and residual as well as an IGR within the can. Be sure to vacuum at least every other day to stimulate egg hatch and pull up any live or dead adults and feces.
