    Q
Which is better Cynoff EC or Suspend SC?
This is for general use/prevention inside and outside of my house. I live in Missouri, and I have a cat.
    A
Cynoff EC and Suspend SC are both great products and both would do a great job for your needs. Cynoff EC contains the active ingredient cypermethrin which is known to be one of the most effective active ingredients for spider control, but Cynoff EC also has a very limited product label. Suspend SC on the other hand has a much broader label and is one of our best sellers for general pest control.

    Q
Am I using Suspend SC correctly for bedbugs?
I ordered Suspend SC a few weeks ago, it has not helped with our bedbugs. The infestation is not tgat bad but we live in an apt and I believe our neighbor has them. Our sons are both allergic to bug bites, what can we do different, or are we doing something wrong?
    A

Suspend SC used to be the go to product for bed bug control. However, there have been signs that some strains of bed begs have become resistant to it since it has been used so much. Still, bed bug control has much better success if you use a variety of products. Our bed bug kits have many products that are considered the top bed bug control products and our kits also come with full instructions. They have a very high success rate with our customers and your best chance of eliminating a bed bug infestation. Also, even using the best products it will take time to eliminate the entire problem at hand. Theres no way of knowing just how many are there and it can take weeks to even a few months to get rid of every last one depending on the level of infestation and how thorough you are being with your weekly retreatments. If your neighbor has them, that should not be affecting your apartment unless they are heavy in the other unit, you have brought something from their unit into yours to allow them to spread, or unless they are doing improper treatments in their unit to cause them to spread.

You can go over all the proper steps it takes to effectively eliminate bedbugs by browsing the how to videos and step by step instructins in our guide.

    Q
Can Suspend SC be used on an area that will be used as a vegetable garden in the future?
I have some summer squash here in Arizona that have not produced at all - and when I dug them up found the roots crawling with ants that bite! I want revenge! Is it safe to spray the area with Suspend to kill the little buggers and later use the area for vegetables?
    A
You can spray the area with Suspend but you must wait at least 90 days before using the area for an edible garden.

Per the product label for Suspend SC when treating fire ant mounds:   Apply a mound drench.  Dilute 1.5 oz per one gallon of water.  Gentrly sprinkle 1-2 gallons of diluted insecticide over the surface of each mound and surrounding area to a 2 foot diameter.  For best results apply in cool weather 65 to 80 degrees or in early morning or late evening hours.  Treat new mounds as they appear.

    Q
I have small children and a dog. What do I use for indoor pest control?
I have 2 small children, and a dog. I live in North Texas and have problems with ants, roaches, and crickets. What should I use inside the house?
    A

A general insecticide, such as Suspend SC, can be used indoors to kill and prevent ants, roaches, crickets, and various other insects.  This product is mixed with water and applied around baseboards and cracks and crevices.  Be sure to keep pets and children out of the area until the product has dried completely, usually1-2 hours. The mixing rate of Suspend SC is 0.25-1.5 fl oz per gallon of water.  For general pest control, we recommend using the 0.25 fl oz per gallon of water rate.

    Q
What's the difference between tempo sc ultra and suspend sc?
    A
Tempo SC Ultra is formulated using the active ingredient beta-Cyfluthrin and Suspend SC is formulated using the active ingredient Deltamethrin. Both active ingredients are from the same class of insecticides known as synthetic pyrethroids and because of this both products are labeled for many of the same insects. Suspend SC does have a much broader product label and is allowed to be used in more places for more insects than the Tempo SC Ultra. Tempo SC Ultra on the other hand is known to have a bit of a faster knockdown and less chance of resistance because it has not been as widely used. Please take a moment to read over the Suspend SC product label and the Tempo SC Ultra product label to see which product would best fit your needs.

    Q
How often should I use Suspend SC outside?
Also, how often can i use Termidor outside.
    A
All insecticides have different times they will last outside which is mainly dependant on where you live, climate, how hot or how much rain you have, etc.   Suspend typically will last for 60 days but can be applied more often or less often depending on where you live.  Termidor is typically applied every 3 to 4 months around the perimeter for best results.

    Q
Are you sure Suspend SC is safe to use if you have cats?
I read that cats cannot process pyrethrins. While Suspend SC is supposed to be applied to crevices, the carpet still gets damp where it meets the wall and sometimes you'll get a puddle under the stove or fridge where you have to wipe up the excess. Have any long term studies been done around pets?
    A
Suspend SC is labeled to be safe for pets if they are not in the area during the application and while the surfaces are still wet. Once they are completely dry, they can return to the area that you have applied the product. The product will not reactivate if it gets wet again. Please contact Bayer for information on the studies that they have performed for long term safety. They can be reached at (800) 331-2867.
