    Q
What methods and/tools do I need to effectively use Tapilrid?
I had a professional treat my yard for moles using Tapilrid. He used a rod to puncture the tunnel and then to insert the worms. Is there a special shape to the end of the rod?
    A
Talpirid Mole Bait is one of our best sellers for mole control in your lawn. It is a worm shaped mole bait that mimics the mole's natural food. To achieve maximum effect, Talpirid Mole Bait should only be placed in areas used habitually by moles for feeding.  There is no specific shape of rod end if needed to puncture. Try to leave the area undisturbed as possible. Five (5) to 7 days after bait application, check for mole activity using the same procedure for determining initial activity. Return 48 to 72 hours later and retreat all active runs. 1 Talpirid box (20 worms) is enough for two typical treatments Bait in unopened sealed box will last up to 1 year in controlled environment. Once opened, use within 15 days.

    Q
Is Talpirid worm bait poisonous to dogs?
    A

Talpirid, when used directed on the product label, will be applied to areas that will for the most part be inaccessible to non-target animals.  It will be poisonous to them if they do directly ingest the bait though and there is no antidote if this occurs.

    Q
What do I do if my dog got ahold of one of the Talpirid BAIT?
My dog dug into one of the tunnels and had one of the worms in her mouth, I pulled it out but now I'm wandering if it could've hurt her? She didn't digest it but it was on her mouth. Just want to make sure she'll be ok
    A

Talpirid BAIT can harm or kill a dog if they have ingested enough of them.  If the one was not ingested she should be ok but you should always contact your vet for the best advice on what to look for and if any issues come up.

    Q
How many milligrams of Bromethalin in each Talpirid BAIT worm? I have a 50-lb. dog. Is it safe to use this product?
    A

Each Talpirid BAIT worm weighs 5 grams and contains .025% Bromethalin.  A 50 lb. dog would have to eat multiple worms in order to ingest a fatal dose.  That being said, we do recommend preventing pets from digging the worms up and only using the worms in active runways so the moles are more likely to get it then a pet.

    Q
Does Talpirid Mole Bait work on mole crickets or worms?
    A

Talpirid Mole Bait is only formulated and manufactured to work on the common species of mole, not mole crickets.  We recommend Niban Granular Bait or Advion Insect Granule Bait for that specific issue.
