    After spraying Talstar P indoors what type floor cleaning is ok?

    Since Talstar can only be sprayed directly into cracks and crevices around the perimeter of rooms  indoors, any type of floor cleaning you choose should not be a problem.

    What do I buy to get rid of cluster flies?

    Talstar P can be used to help control cluster flies indoors and outdoors. If the cluster flies have already made their way indoors they will be harder to control because they usually hide in a wall void or other inaccessible area and are only visible when the house warms up. If the cluster flies are in an attic or drop ceiling or other dark area, a fly light would do a great job controlling the population. Using small fly lights such as the FlyWeb Fly Light in the house would also help to catch the flies. Spray Talstar directly on baseboards, window frames, door frames, and places where utilities (pipes, wires, cables) enter in to the building and any other crack, crevice or gap where insects can enter.

    what product do you offer to treat a very large spider population. we have a very large hangars and there is a lot of spiders in the roof. and columns and i want to know if you have a product i can use in big quantities because is a very larger area and want to try something economic to get as many gallons possible at less cost. please let me know what can i buy from you. thanks

    In Virginia and want to spray the entire yard this summer for mosquitos and ticks.
    In Virginia, the newspapers are predicting a very bad season for ticks and mosquitos. I would like to spray the entire backyard (trees, shrubs, and lawn) with permethrin in an Ortho Sprayette, connected to a garden hose. Can you tell me if this is the best product to use and, if so, what are the mixing instructions? Thanks!

    Permethrin is not labeled for outdoor mosquito control. We would recommend using Talstar P for tick and mosquito control in your yard. Talstar is our most popular selling product for mosquito control and tick control.  It is a liquid concentrate that you mix with water and apply using a one gallon hand pump sprayer.  The key is to apply it to all shrubs, trees, and other foliage around the house or patio where you are trying to provide relief from mosquitoes and to all the tall vegetation and other known tick harboring locations.  It should be directed not only on top of the leaves of plants, but on the underside of the leaves as well which is where pests like to hang out.     Talstar P is one of the most popular mosquito control products on the market. Talstar P will last for about one month outdoors for mosquito control, is gentle on the plants that must be sprayed, has no odor, is water based so it doesn't stain and is very safe to use around children and pets when used as directed on the product label. You will need about 1 oz of product for every 1,000 sq ft of space you need to treat. The key is to apply it to all shrubs, trees, and other foliage around the house or patio where you are trying to provide relief.  It should be directed not only on top of the leaves and plants, but on the underside of the leaves as well which is where the mosquitoes hang out.  Talstar should be applied every 30 days for optimum control. Care must be taken not to get Talstar into any body of water as it is known to be toxic to aquatic life. If you feel that keeping it out of the water may be too difficult we also carry Essentria IC3 which is labeled for mosquito control and is non-toxic to aquatic life.

    What is the best product to prevent both crawling and flying insects?
    We spend hundreds of $$ every year to have our house sprayed to prevent bees, ants, spiders, etc. The exterminator guarantees the spray for 6 months. Is there a product that would do the same that we could do ourselves?

    There are not any insecticides on the market that will last for 6 months outdoors. What actually happens is the exterminator will spray a product and wipe out all of the insects nearby and it can take many months for the pests to build back up to an intolerable level. If you have been happy with the treatment the pest control operator has been using you can ask them what product they have been using. Most PCO's will also write the name of the product or the active ingredient on your bill as most states require this. We carry just about any product your PCO would have used.     Can I apply talstar to newly seeded grass?

    Talstar P is water based and is known to be very gentle on plants and it should be fine to spray on your newly seeded grass. We do recommend that you do not spray during the hottest part of the day. We also recommend that you spray a small section and wait a couple of days before spraying all of the grass to make sure damage does not occur as some plants may be super sensitive to any chemical.

    How can I get rid of ground/miner bees that are in a hard to reach juniper bed?
    These bees return every year and seem to number in the thousands. There also seems to be more and more each year. They swarm in the heat of the day and are living along the edge of my yard in a massive Juniper bed. The Junipers are mature and thick, so I can't even see their holes/nests, but when they are active, they are very intimidating and create concern for child safty.

    A good treatment of Talstar should help do the trick.  However, if the junipers are really thick, then you need to apply quite a bit for the product to get down to the ground where the bees are nesting.

    Will Talstar work better than Niban FG on my camel crickets?

    With Talstar P the crickets just need to cross over treated areas to get a lethal dose of the insecticide. With the Niban FG they need to be attracted to and then consume the bait. Both products work great and both will do a great job it just breaks down to what is needed for your particular space. Is it okay to apply an insecticide? Can you get to the areas that need to be treated? If so an insecticide like Talstar will work very well.

    I want to use Talstar P to spray my lawn.
    I want to use it w/ an all purpose sprayer that you attach to a garden hose such as the Gilmour 362. Would this work? I am especially wanting to spray my front and back yard to guard against fleas, ticks, grubs and ants.

    Talstar P will work in most hose end sprayers though a few folks have commented that the sprayer they used did get clogged because Talstar is a little bit thick. Talstar P is a great general use insecticide but it is not labeled to control grubs. Most general use insecticides do not control grubs.  For grub control you will need to use a product such as Dominion 2L that contains imidacloprid.

    Will Talstar P kill snails?

    Talstar is not labeled to treat snails. This does not mean that it will not treat them we recommend contacting FMC 800-321-1362 for a more specific answer. We recommend using a granular bair like Niban Fine Granular Bait to eradicate snails.

    Is the 7.9% bifrenthin before it is diluted with water, or after? If it is before, do you know what the percentage would be after 1 oz. is diluted with 1 gallon of water?

    Using it at the 1 ounce per gallon rate the finished % of active ingredient is .062%. The 7.9% bifenthrin is prior to diluting.
