Talstar cannot be applied with any type of fogger.
Our most popular general use product is called Talstar P Professional Insecticide. It is widely used by pest control companies because it is labeled for almost every insect you could have a problem with. It can be used indoors as well as outdoors. It is odorless and very safe for use around children and pets. You want to be sure that no children or pet is present during the application until the product has had time to dry completely. It is a liquid concentrate that you mix with water in a one gallon hand pump sprayer. It will last for 90 days indoors and 30 days outdoors. It is also labeled for lawn and ornamental use and can be used on trees, plants, bushes, and shrubs for all sorts of ornamental pests including Japanese beetles, mosquitoes, and other leaf-eating pests.
Talstar is also available in a granule formula called Talstar PL if you prefer to use granules.
Talstar P would be a great option for indoor spraying along baseboards and in cracks and crevices for general pests.
Talstar P residual may dry on glass surfaces if you spray them, but if diluted correctly, then it should dry clear. If you have any milky residue, then you can wipe it off with a damp paper towel or cloth.
Talstar P does not repel flies. It does kill them when they come in contact with a treated surface or area.
Talstar P Professional Insecticide is not labeled to be used on furniture nor across interior surfaces such as floors. It is safe to use when used as directed on the product label.

Talstar P Professional Insecticide should be applied at a rate of 1 oz per gallon of water. It can be reapplied outdoors every 30 days. We do suggest mixing Talstar with an IGR to disrupt the life cycle of the insects by keeping the juveniles from growing into adults.
Talstar P Professional Insecticide should not be used near bodies of water as it is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic life. We suggest Essentria IC3 as it is labeled to be used around water areas such as docks. It can be reapplied every 30 days outdoors for spiders and other listed insects.
Talstar P Professional Insecticide is not labeled for use in pastures with grazing animals. For fire ant control, the best product to use in pastures would be Extinguish Fire Ant Bait. This product has no grazing restrictions for animals and will give you far superior control over the entire colony of fire ants.
Talstar P Professional Insecticide can be applied outdoors every 30 days.
Talstar P should be used at the highest concentration of 1 oz of Talstar per gallon of water for bedbug treatments. According to the product label: "Thorough application should be made to crack and crevices where evidence of bed bugs occurs. This includes bed frames, box springs, inside empty dressers and clothes closets and carpet edges, high and low wall moldings and wallpaper edges. Do not use this product on bed linens, pillows, mattresses or clothes. Remove all clothes and other articles from dressers or clothes closets before application. Allow all treated areas to thoroughly dry before use. Not recommended for use as sole protection against bedbugs. If evidence of bedbugs is found in/on mattresses, use products approved for this use." As you can see the Talstar P manufacturers do not recommend that you use Talstar P by itself to get rid of bedbugs. Ground bees, also known as digger bees, can be very difficult to control no matter what product you use and they most likely will come back to your property year after year unless you do your part to alter your property to make it unfavorable to the bees. Ground bees prefer dry soils with thin grasses so irrigating the area frequently and correcting any issue that causes your grass to be thin will help deter the bees from nesting. In areas where you do not have grass, a layer of mulch will help deter the bees from nesting. Ground bees are solitary bees and are not very aggressive and are known to be a beneficial insect which is why you will not find any products specifically labeled for this type of bee. Talstar P can help provide some level of control but it will not get rid of all of the ground bees on your property. You should use Talstar P at a 1 oz of product to 1 gallon of water for a 1,000 sq ft area ratio. This will give you the fastest knockdown and the longest lasting residual. Talstar P does not offer an instant knockdown but will kill insects that come into contact with treated areas over a short period of time.
Talstar P is not labeled for use on edibles. You could use a product such as Fertilome Tree and Shrub Systemic. Please click on the link below for a product that can be applied to edibles.
ExciteR is a good option to give Talstar P Professional Insecticide a faster knockdown during application.
Talstar P can be used around window, door frames and cracks and crevices for over 75 insects. You will mix 1 oz per gallon of water and reapply outdoors every 30 days.
For mosquitoes key is to apply to the underside of leaves on trees/bushes which is where the adults lay during the day, as well as shady areas. You would not treat entire areas of the lawn that are in full sun as it is not habitable for them there.
