Yes, Talstar P (Talstar One) is labeled for gnats and roaches. You will use 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water. This can be sprayed around the perimeter of your home, on trees, bushes, broadcast across your lawn, etc. It cannot be sprayed on any type of edibles or area where animals would graze.
We would also recommend mixing the Talstar P (Talstar One) with Gentrol IGR. This will stop the roaches from reproducing for up to four months.
Talstar P is one of the most popular products that we carry and is always in stock. We make sure that the new product we receive and ship out is always the most recent. We do a constant stock rotation to insure we only have fresh stock on our shelf.
Talstar P is not actually labeled to treat bird mites and it is only labeled to apply in cracks and crevices indoors so is not recommended to be used for them. When treating for bird mites usually you would want to spray all carpeted areas and lightly spray the flooring and to do that you would need a product like Onslaught which will give you a wider usage range indoors. Please review our article on How To Control Bird Mites for complete information.
Talstar P is not labeled specifically for rat mites. The easiest method to control rodent mites that have entered your home is to physically remove them with a vacuum cleaner or wipe them up with a moist cloth. Mites are not automatically killed by a vacuum cleaner so freeze the bag to prevent the mites from crawling back out.
Locating the source and eliminating the hosts and nests is important to prevent further problems with these mites. Nests are usually located in attics, basements, or inside walls. If necessary, trap them with kill traps or glue boards. Spray the dead rat and its nest with a disinfectant.
Removing mites€™ source (dead mice, rats, and abandoned nests) is very important. Unless you remove their source, rat mites will continue to seek human host infesting your house.
Yes, Talstar P is labeled for stink bugs and lady bugs. The mixing ratio is 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water. This will be used to spray around baseboards, cracks and crevices.
The Overwintering Kit is an excellent combination of products that protects you during your winter months with an insecticide and a dust. We generally do recommend at least using a dust with any other product, such as Talstar P, that you are using. The pests come in contact with it and dry out. This is an added protection to consider using throughout the year.
Talstar P (Talstar One) is NOT labeled to kill horse flies or for use in pastures containing grazing animals. We recommend using Martins Permethrin 10%. Martins Permethrin 10% controls horse flies, face flies, lice and ticks, with a residual activity lasting up to 28 days. It is also safe for Horses.
Bifen XTS and Talstar P (Talstar One) are both very good general insecticides to use around the perimeter of your home. The residual on both products is approximately 30 days and once the products dry, it is rainfast so rain will not wash it away. Be sure to spray areas where there would be or you have seen activity for pests to ensure that they come in contact with the treated area.
If you are looking for a product that lasts longer outdoors, Suspend Polyzone would be a great option. It has an additional polymer in it that makes it last longer outdoors.
