    Talstar P is labeled for whiteflies and is one of the most popular products on the market for this pest. Be sure to spray the undersides of the leaves on the infested plants as that is where whiteflies like to harbor.

    Will Talstar P(Talstar One) kill chinch bugs and grub worms? Waco, Tx.

    Talstar P is labeled for chinch bugs and will do a great job controlling this pest. Talstar P is not labeled for grub worms and most likely will not provide satisfactory results when used to control them. We do have several products that are specifically labeled for grub worms on our website: Grub Worm Control. We also recommend that you contact your local cooperative extension office and inquire about the best time to start treatments for grubs in your region. In many parts of the country the grubs are already matured and they are emerging as adult beetles.

    How do you compare Bifen/Talstar P versus Tempo SC?
    I am using to kill mosquitoes in the yard by backpack sprayer/mister and also applying along perimeter of home and area where ant hide. Are both equally effective or would one be superior in any way?

    Bifen IT and/or Talstar P and Tempo SC Ultra are very good products for mosquito control. The biggest difference between them is that they have two different active ingredients. They are both great insecticides and can be alternated so that there is no pest resistance built up.

    Can I mix Talstar P and Nyguard IGR?
    Can Talstar P and NyGaurd IGR be mixed together as one solution to be sprayed.

    Yes, Talstar P and NyGaurd IGR can be mixed together and applied at the same time. You want to apply at a rate of 1 oz Talstar to 3 ml of NyGuard into one gallon water.

    Is Talstar P safe around infants and safe to spray in infants bedrooms?

    Talstar P can be safely used in an infant's room as long as the infant is out of the room during the application and he/she does not return until the spray is dry. Talstar P is to be used as only as a crack and crevice spray indoors. Please be sure to read the product label and follow all directions and precautions.

    I used the max amount of 1 oz of Talstar P to one gallon of water. If I were to use 2 oz. per gallon, would it work even better?

    No, it would not.  The homeowner way of thinking is usually that more is better, but keep in mind that these are professional products and are much stronger already than over the counter products.  Talstar P works so well at 1 ounce per gallon, that applying more than that really is just wasting money and product.  You will typically not see any better results by doing this.

    How long does Talstar P last once it's mixed?
    If I had 5-10 gallons left over in my mixture tank, how long would it be before it goes bad? Thanks!

    Once Talstar P is mixed with water it should be used within 24 hours.  Be sure to agitate the solution before using if it sits for a few hours.

    Talstar P (Talstar One) dries within approx. 2 hours. After that rain will not wash it away for at least 2-3 months.

    What if a pet (Cat or Dog) eats a bug that has been killed with Talstar P?
    Will a cat from a kitten to adult size or a small dog get sick or die from ingesting an insect that has been killed by this spray? Say a carpenter ant or something?

    Talstar P (Talstar One) is one of our best sellers for all around pest control. Talstar kills over 75 insect pests and can be used for indoor pest control, outdoor pest control, has a long residual, so it keeps on killing pests for over three months after you've sprayed it, is odorless, dries clear, leaves no stains, is non-irritating to the skin, won't break down easily with rainfall and is safe to use around pets. Be sure animals are out of the area while Talstar is being applied and then they can return as soon as the area is dry. Talstar is only designed to kill small insects.     Can I use Talstar directly on tomato plants?
    I have stink bugs destroying my tomatoes. Would they absorb (the tomatoes) the Talstar if I spray it on them?

    You can absolutely NOT use Talstar on any kind of edible vegetation.  If you have already you will need to discard of those items.  Unfortunately the only product we have at this time that is labeled for treatment of stink bugs on edible crops is Venom.

    What is the best time of day to apply Talstar for mosquito control?
    Also, what range is needed to provide relief? We live in a heavily wooded area, and I would like to know how far into the "woods" we need to go.

    Talstar P (Talstar One) should be applied in the morning or evening especially during the summer. You really just need to focus on the tree line. Spray the undersides of leaves on the trees and shrubs. Focus on debris piles like leaf piles, pinestraw and shaded moist areas.     Willl Talstar P (Talstar One) control and kill Bagworms in my pine trees?
    Will this product kill bagworm infestation in my pine trees in july?

    Talstar P (Talstar One) is a great product to use for Bagworms on Pine trees. In fact, it is our number on recommendation for Bag worms. Yes, Talstar will kill insects shortly after they come in contact with it. It is important to keep in mind that bagworms are very difficult to control with chemical methods once they have matured and formed their protective "bags."     What happens when i put too much Talstar P into a gallon of water?
    A

    Mixing too much of an insecticide like Talstar P (Talstar One) is never recommended.  Over-application can make an area more repellent, causing insects to avoid it so that the product cannot do its job.

    İ have chickens in my back yard, is talstar safe for chickens?

    As long as you keep the chickens out of the area while you treat and until the areas are completely dry they will be safe. It also will not hurt the chickens if they eat any insects that have died from the Talstar.

    Yes. Talstar P can be safely used around pets and children as long as you follow the label instructions; all pets and children need to be out of the area while application is being made and they can return as soon as the application is dry.

    Which product should I use to treat sod webworms in saint-augustine grass?
    I live in Texas, south of Houston (Angleton Tx. 77515). Which one of these two products ( new Cyonara for Lawns or Talstar P) will work the best to treat my lawn to get rid of the sod webworms? Will I need to treat it a second time after a certain time frame?

    The most popular product for sod webworms is Talstar. Talstar is very effective on most insects and it is gentle to plants. Time applications to control young larvae, if possible. Spot treatments may be applied when infestations are first detected and the damaged area is small. The treatment will be most effective if applied in the early evening when larvae begin feeding. Please check with your local cooperative extension office to see if a second generation is possible in one season in your region.
