While Talstar P is labeled for roaches, it is not generally recommended as there can be resistancy issues within a roach population with a product like this. We would recommend using a product like Temprid SC instead. Temprid SC has two active ingredients in it to combat a roach infestations, and doesn't have the resistancy issues that a product with only one active ingredient might have. You may want to look over our Roach Control Guide for more information on treating and preventing roaches.
Depending on what you are treating for, you may definitely use the Talstar P and your choice of IGR with it. It is not necessary for you to mix two IGR's with the Talstar P. Either NyGuard or Archer IGR and Talstar can be mixed into the same gallon of water and sprayed for control of Fleas, Stored Product Pests, listed Roaches (German, Asian, and Brown-banded), Crickets, Litter Beetles, and Flying Insects.
Talstar P is not labeled for this purpose. You may want to contact your local cooperative extension office for recommendations on what you should use.
Talstar P (Talstar One) is an insecticide only and will not kill weeds. You can view our full line of Herbicides here.

The best general pest control can depend on what region you are located in. One of the most popular general pest control products is Talstar P. Talstar has a long residual, so it keeps on killing pests for up to three months after you've applied it. It is also odorless, dries clear, leaves no stains, is non-irritating to the skin, and won't break down easily with rainfall.
Fungus gnats are usually found breeding in landscaped areas/lawns that are over-watered. You should be careful to let area dry out completely, which will kill any larvae in the soil. You could also treat the area with something like Talstar P, which has great residual protection and also can be used for a wide variety of crawling pests and lawn and ornamental pests outside. Gnats that land on the treated areas will be eliminated. Talstar P will not repel the gnats from the area nor will it kill the gnats that do not land on the treated areas. It is best to resolve the issues that are causing water to build in areas and provide a breeding site for them.
Talstar P is not labeled for use around edible plants, so we do not recommend using it around squash or other vegetables. Since we do not sell Capture, we cannot comment on the use of that product. We do sell many other insecticides that can be used around edible plants, which you can browse on our site here.
