Either Cyper WSP or Talstar P would work for your needs. Both are labeled for roaches and spiders, both can be used indoors and outdoors and both are safe for pets and children when used as directed. They are both great general insecticides, just different in their formulation. If you are treating indoors, Talstar P may have a slight advantage in that it will dry clear, whereas the Cyper WSP may leave a white residue behind on some surfaces.
Talstar P (Talstar One) is not labeled nor safe to be used on anything edible.
Talstar P is labeled for use in a wide array of areas including the lawn, bushes, trees, and shrubs if the pests you are treating for are congregating in those areas. Keep in mind, you cannot use this on edibles like a vegetable garden or fruit trees or close to lakes/ponds.
According the University of Florida Extension, the active ingredient in Talstar (Bifenthrin) can be used on coconut trees as long as they are non fruit bearing. Please refer to Table 7 for a list of approved insecticdes in the State of Florida. You may also reach out to the Local Cooperative Extension office to speak with them directly on application recommendations.
Since aquatic life such as reptiles can be sensitive to insecticides, we do not recommend applying Talstar in any rooms while these animals are present, or in their habitats. It should be fine to use Talstar in other rooms where these animals are not kept.
Talstar P (Talstar One) is labeled to be used in food/feed handling establishments as a crack and crevice application. Please refer to the product label for instructions.
It is recommended that you keep animals out of the area while Talstar P is being applied. Once the product has dried completely, it is safe for animals to return to the area. The area will dry within 1-2 hours.
Talstar P (Talstar One) should be applied at least 5 feet away from the well.
Talstar P (Talstar One) is labeled for spiders but not orb spiders in particular. The product should be sprayed in areas where the spiders will come in contact with it. The mixing rate is 1 fl oz per gallon of water.
