    Q
Should I use Talstar P or Cyper WSP?
I purchased Cyper WSP for dealing with roaches and spiders. Of course I kept reading to find out the safety of Cyper WSP for pets and children and I found the Talstar product. Which one is better?
    A

Either Cyper WSP or Talstar P would work for your needs.  Both are labeled for roaches and spiders, both can be used indoors and outdoors and both are safe for pets and children when used as directed.  They are both great general insecticides, just different in their formulation. If you are treating indoors, Talstar P may have a slight advantage in that it will dry clear, whereas the Cyper WSP may leave a white residue behind on some surfaces.

    Q
Do you spray the whole yard with Talstar P?
    A

Talstar P is labeled for use in a wide array of areas including the lawn, bushes, trees, and shrubs if the pests you are treating for are congregating in those areas. You can refer to the product label for mix rates and target areas for the specific pest you are having trouble with. Keep in mind, you cannot use this on edibles like a vegetable garden or fruit trees or close to lakes/ponds.

    Q
Is Talstar P safe for fruit bearing coconut trees?
I see that Talstar is not rated for fruit trees and nuts, but the label says nothing on coconut trees.
    A

According the University of Florida Extension, the active ingredient in Talstar (Bifenthrin) can be used on coconut trees as long as they are non fruit bearing. Please refer to Table 7 for a list of approved insecticdes in the State of Florida. You may also reach out to the Local Cooperative Extension office to speak with them directly on application recommendations.

    Q
Is Talstar P safe to use with pet reptiles and a fish tank in the house?
    A

Since aquatic life such as reptiles can be sensitive to insecticides, we do not recommend applying Talstar in any rooms while these animals are present, or in their habitats. It should be fine to use Talstar in other rooms where these animals are not kept.

    Q
Will Talstar P (Talstar One) kill orb spiders?
We've just recently had orb spiders...like bee spiders and a necoranae(fuzzy brown spider) on windows and by our ac unit. I want to kill these suckers and anything they will eat. I'm hoping this product will do it.

Talstar P (Talstar One) is labeled for spiders but not orb spiders in particular. The product should be sprayed in areas where the spiders will come in contact with it. The mixing rate is 1 fl oz per gallon of water.
