I live in Wisconsin with 8 1/2 acres of property with trees up north and my home I have a acre of property full of trees. We would get bit up by mosquitoes like crazy. A friend of mine had told me about this insecticide that is used by all these companies that spray for mosquitoes for all exspensive homes. So we bought it and followed the directions and have been using it since. We are not getting bit hardly at all. Now my kids don't have a excuse why they can't mow the lawn. We can actually watch fire works, with out being bit. You may have to spray about every 2 weeks, But it has made our lives so much more enjoyable.

This is a great hive type non discriminatory insecticide that is really perfect for southern fire ants. It may take some additional time to appear like it's working, but it works far better than most other products. Hit the mound and about 2 feet around it and the entire mound will die. It won't reappear 3 feet away in 2 days like granulated products and there are no remaining ants to create trails to a new colony. Also great as an outdoor house pest control spray. Roaches, spiders, ants, mosquitos and termites. You can add a colorant to see where you have applied already. But I never do. I have never seen staining or discoloration either.

Before Talstar P, I strictly used granular and liquid insecticide treatments from the big box store for various pests in the lawn and near my home. Because of their potency they were hit and miss at times depending on the pest. This year between the ants and the Japanese Beetles I needed something more. After reading reviews, and checking around decided to give Talstar P a try, and upon first application on Roses for the Beetles and later in the yard, I was truly satisfied. And because of its success, I have recommended it to others, and used to treat problems my neighbors have encountered as well. I would indeed recommend it, with a stamp of approval. And ordered another bottle, for next year...

Live in Arizona, of course have a lot of pesty and deadly insects. Spent lots of money over years on Pest Control, only doing around house/ inside. We have 2 acres, they would not do more when asked. Then eariler this year, since live way out in rural area, pest control cancelled. Guess you can say it was a Blessing, as Talstar P really did the job to rid of swarms of grasshoppers (which attract the scorpions), spiders, beetles, ants, much more. Can do it much better on our own, don't have to spend ridiculous prices on Pest Control companies monthly, and Talstar P lasts a long time. Highly recommend this product. I live in Georgia and we get those big flying cockroach/water bugs really bad in the summer. I'd come home and there would literally be 15 of em all near my front door just hanging out. I got tired of paying an exterminator $60 a month to come do what I can do. Bought this stuff and mixed it to maximum strength per the label. Went around my house one time, just spraying from a foot out from the walls, to about 2 feet up it. Windows, doors, all of it. The next day, not even a few days or a week, the very next day, they were all gone and it's been about a month and I haven't seen any since. That's all bugs too not just the roaches.

I never write reviews, but this stuff is so amazing I just had to spread the good news. We live in central MN, the mosquitoes were brutal this year. My initial treatment combined talstar with nyguard IGR, and then I have repeated just the talstar on thirty day intervals as directed. I went about 15 yards into the woods all around the house and sprayed the yard. I can walk and sit outside in the evening without seeing a single mosquito. This stuff works- and we have had a record rainy June, it holds up to the rain. I still have birds and hummingbirds, they seem unaffected. I wish I would have discovered this stuff years ago!!

We have a box elder and a silver maple in the front yard, so the box elder bugs are every. where. I mixed an ounce or so (those squeeze to measure bottles don't hold it all back...) Into a gallon of water in a manual pump little 2gal sprayer. Stuck to the edges of the walkways, 3 feet from the house, 2 feet up the walls and an inch or so around every window and door frame. They move around their normal paths and they were gone the next day. It has been a few weeks and they're getting a tiny more adventurous, but I sprayed minimally too avoid tracking it around, it's my first time using such like this. Still worlds better.

Applied this around my East Texas home that sits on two acres of sand. Noticed immediate 99% reduction in insects of all kinds. Do not see a lot of dead bodies like I expected but it seems to keep them away. I suspect they crawl away to die after contact. Sprayed my ferns, roses, geraniums and hibiscus with no ill effects. After application we have had major storms every 3-4 days with downpour rain but I can still see insects on their backs telling me the residual is still there. So far very effective on spiders, ants and beetles. It has stopped my June bug invasion dead in its tracks. I highly recommend this product.

I have a paralyzing fear of spiders, and when we could no longer afford the expensive pest control service the spiders returned and I was finding them in the house regularly. Been using Talstar P for one year and I have yet to see a spider in our home or any bug for that matter. We also live in an area of black widows and have seen them in the tack room and barn so this product is a godsent. The yearly ladybug infestation has stopped as well. The lasting power of this product is a definite plus and holds up in the heat and rain. Talstar P will always be in our inventory.

I have been using this exact product from DoMyOwn for years! It works perfectly for my needs. I live in a townhouse community, with a retention pond directly in front of my house, maybe 30 feet. I get tiny critters that I never saw, living in the city. I only have a front porch, and a patio, but love and use them both. I totally spray all surfaces, of both areas, about twice a year, spring and fall, and never get annoyed by anything, no spiders, ants, mites, nothing. I also spray in front of my garage door - hate spiders in my Holiday decor, stored in my garage, and this keeps them away. One bottle, depending on the size I order, can last me years, and I don't use it sparingly. Once dry, my precious dog is not bothered by the Talstar, or any critters. Love this stuff!

So I have used this for many years because my son recommended it to me because I was paying for an exterminator to spray my house every month inside and out and I still had bugs everywhere and this was just not my thing, especially when they are suppose to come in and take care of the problem. So when he recommended this because someone suggested it to him and he used it and worked so well I decided to order and try and stop paying for someone else. So guess what I tried, I liked. I also have animals and no problems (they come first). So if you are on the fence about it, IT WORKS WELL!!! Make sure you get it with the P on it, and this last years because you only need a tiny bit.

I'm very proactive for pest control living in FL, so seldom have any pest issues thanks to regular spraying. I normally use a different product but thought I'd give this a try. So the only real results I saw were on my eves where Carpenter Bees were homesteading. I did my regular treatment but also sprayed inside the small holes made by the bees. The next day, several dead bees and several more after that. I'm sure if it does the job on them, it's working on ants and my other pests. I can't comment on the residual effect as it's only been two weeks since treatment. I would recommend the product and just observe the residual, as that's equally important.

I've used this product for years inside and outside as a general insecticide and preventive spray. Recently, I had a major issue with Arizona bark scorpions and needed a plan to resolve. In the last three months, I've killed almost 50 of them through landscape control and Talstar P use. I've lived in Arizona all my life and have never experienced an infestation of scorpions of this magnitude, but my house backs up to a natural preserve area at the base of a mountain in Tucson, so it makes sense I guess. This stuff works as long as your diligent and re-spray every 2-4 weeks for maintaining control on a serious bug situation.

I purchased the Talstar P on the recommendation of someone in the pest control industry when I discovered termites in the mulch that was put in my gardens this summer. I also had wanted to treat my home for general pest control. This product covers all the bases! I diluted 1oz to a gallon of water in a sprayer, and that did all my garden beds, the entire exterior perimeter of my house, the perimeter of my basement and garage, as well as the along a fence line that borders a creek for tick control. I'm happy with it so far and the quart will last me a long time so a good value.

I've been using this for years, and seriously it is fabulous. You need very little in a gallon sprayer that will last you forever! If it is on there for at least a half-hour, it will still work after rain. I spray our farm & house parameters, around windows & doors maybe once a year. I even take the screens off and spray them. It will kill bugs long after you forgot you ever sprayed. I even tried it once on crepe myrtle that was getting destroyed by Japanese beetles and years later I have no issue with them. Won't harm pets, etc., but it WILL kill all insects so avoid wherever you have bees or beneficial that you don't want to be harmed. NOTE - does NOT kill on contact, but takes a day or two and whatever walks across it, will die within 48 hours.

Been fighting ants for over a month since the weather warmed up. All over the brick foundation. Tried Advion ant gel. It reduced their numbers but did not eliminate the colony / ants coming inside. Got quotes for hundreds of dollars for pest control. Decided as a last resort to try this. After spraying this all around I did not see a single ant. Not in the house, not on the foundations. For that I am grateful. Also used it to spray a wasp nest that was being built. Wasp fell to the ground and died in under 30 seconds. Treated my whole yard with this stuff so hopefully I get reduced pests all around.

Originally purchased for spider mites on my Hoya plants, which it worked perfectly. Then decided to use it around the house (inside and out), this is the only stuff that worked on everything. All other products you can purchase at your local home improvement stores do not compare at all. All the bugs just laughed and thank'd for the shower, this stuff, after just one application, killed them all, ants, water bugs, mosquitoes, flies, bees, box elder bugs, cockroaches, spiders, etc., all gone. Thank you so much! This stuff saves you time and money in the long run because it only takes one application as opposed to several and gets everything where the other insecticides never did.

This product is good, but nothing amazing. It is simply your average pest control product. Not the best, not the worst. Definetly among the safest because of the properties of its ingredient however which can be a major plus to some people. Kills spiders and larger insects on contact between 1 - 3 minutes depending on how heaviliy you hose them down. The residual varies widely in my experience. It lasts about 2 weeks in 80 - 100 degree weather daily, and about 2 months in cooler temperatures. For the price it is an easy buy and does the job well enough, but if you're looking for some serious kill power or heavy residual times where the product is not just there but actually effective as well, then there are better products.

I treated complete exterior of our home with Telstar-P according to directions. It's difficult to guage exactly 1,000 ft for a gallon and I used a little more than I had figured. But, still have a lot left for subsequent treatments. Local Pest Control companies want about $80.00 per quarterly treatment after about $125.00 for an initial treatment. My entire order of product, pump sprayer and hose sprayer was paid for with my initial treatment! Now, I'll be saving about $320.00 in the year based upon quarterly treatments that I already have on my calendar. AND, it is really effective at killing bugs!! Great Product. So glad I did a BING search and found DoMyOwnPestControl.com!!!

I got this with the intent of eliminating the mosquitos that used to terrorize us in our backyard. It is a relatively small yard in LA, around 40'x20'. We have some bamboo, yew pines, and palm trees as the largest foliage. We are bordered by two very unmaintained yards - one with lots of dead leaves/storage and one with a lot of stray cats, one of them I suspect is the main source of mosquitoes. We have 0 standing water sources, so I'm pretty confident that they are not breeding in our yard. Normally, I get bitten within 2 minutes of stepping outside into the back yard, no matter what time of day it is, full sun or shade. We have both the regular brown mosquitos as well as the invasive Asian tiger mosquitos. Sick of not being able to enjoy my own backyard, I decided to get some of the Talstar P to tackle the issue. I sprayed up and down the full height of our 6' tall wood fences that border the yard as well as in all of the bamboo and yew pines. As I was spraying, I saw a lot of mosquitos that must have been resting on the fence and bamboo fly away so I knew it must be working. I have a dog, so I avoided spraying the ground and kept him indoors while spraying. We don't have grass in the backyard, and instead just have "turf" for half of it, and I did not spray anything on it. I also did not spray anything on the side of the house, since it just didn't seem necessary since we don't have too many bugs inside the house, and I just care about protecting the yard. That weekend, I noticed a huge reduction in mosquitos, but was still getting bitten. About a week later, I noticed that I could see the mosquitos resting on the palm tree trunks. I filled up another tank of the dilution and sprayed down the trunks of the palms as well as some of the smaller foliage that I didn't spray initially. Now my backyard is almost entirely mosquito free! I can spend an entire evening outside and only get one bite! That is a huge win in my book, since normally my legs and arms would be covered in bites. For those wondering if this works as a barrier to nearby unmaintained yards, it absolutely does! Eliminate those resting spots and you will be well on your way to reducing your mosquito population. Be sure to wear a respirator/mask and latex gloves when working with this chemical.

Purchased this based on previous reviews regarding large tree roaches. We live in Austin and our home is surrounded by a lot of trees AND a neighbor who has a dilapidated rotting shed right behind our fence (rodent heaven). We were using a professional pest control, having inside and outside and full yard spray and they were still coming in. I don't know if it's a combination of this spray and Maxforce Complete Granular Bait, all I know is that we've had a streak of 100+ Austin days and (knock on wood) haven't seen a large roach in the house. Strangely, haven't seen any dead ones- maybe they die outside where I can't see them, which is a bonus. We have 2 dogs and it seems to be very safe as long as you follow the instructions. I'm giving this 4 stars as it is a process BUT I do think it's more effective and cheaper than paying $150 every quarter for pest control.

This product has far beyond exceeded our expectations! We had a pro come and spray our home inside and out and within a week or two random pests were coming back around on the exterior of our home. After finding Talstar P, we were sure this is what our pest control guy used (but probably diluted more than usual and he went through way too quickly) and decided to try it for ourselves after all of the amazing reviews we read. My son mixed up some in a sprayer and sprayed the base of our home, or porch/deck, and a few trees. The next morning there wasnt a thing alive around our home! They either died where the touched it or were just nonexistent. Going to be going on 3 weeks now with almost zero bugs/spiders on the exterior of our home and only a few stray ants on the deck or anywhere near the house (ants were our biggest issue). Its does say residual is up to 3 months but we plan to do it once a month or so to keep up the best barrier. This stuff worked amazing for us so far and saved us a bunch of money and I'm sure it could do something for you too! Also we will definitely be coming back to DoMyOwn for our pest needs, the shipping was quicker than expected and the service was great.

We've had a severe problem with stinkbugs all over the outside of the house during the fall months over the last four years. I never even knew what a stinkbug was before that. I've tried everything with only minimal & temporary results, until now. I came across Talstar P during my online research and ordered this product from DoMyOwnPestControl. They also appeared to have a very good rating online. The product arrived within a week of ordering. Upon opening the box, I discovered that the contents had leaked all over the container & inside the box. Upon further inspection, I realized the seal on one of the caps was half opened! Now, I've got all kinds of thoughts running through my mind. Was it a defective seal? Was it opened and diluted before sale? I still don't know but the spillage appeared minimal so I didn't make it an issue. I sprayed it on the outside of my brick rancher around the doors and windows & made sure to give each stinkbug a special dose. Nothing! Stinkbugs were still everywhere. However, a day later, I began to notice that fewer & fewer stinkbugs were present. Now, weeks later I may see a rare 3 or 4 and they don't seem to want to stick around! I prefer to give the vendor the benefit of the doubt on the open seal but there is no doubt on the effectiveness of their product!

I originally found this website last year; trying to find Cy-Kick, a pesticide that an exterminator used at my neighbors. I used Cy-Kick and it works as well, but returning to the site I knew there had to be more products for this latest creature terrorising the Northeast US. Searching 'stink-bug' on the site, Cy-kick didn't pop-up; (it did last year) or at least I didn't see it. With Talstar having the highest ratings I thought why not. Doing a search of the word 'stink bug' within about 50 reviews, it came up a very small amount of times. Talstar, like Cy-Kick works, but I cannot actually say it works better. Like many of these products, they have that invisible residue that lasts a few weeks, and I saw high praise from a few people that seem to know more than me about pesticides. Besides, 1 ounce per 1 gallon seems to do the trick, whereas I was using 2oz. per gal with Cy-Kick---for what I believe was the same results. Stick bugs are dying by the thousands now at my house and my neighbor's; hopefully something will change this, as killing the innocent bugs---bugs me! Smile!

I live out in the country where my neighbor is 2 miles away nearest city is 30 min drive. Out here we had a very heavy infestation of spiders. We (wife , son , & I ) was getting bit every night each of us had 20+ bites on our legs thigh belly and other warm places. I used 6 cans of fogger under house sprayed with talstar p all corners inside the home including ceiling walls and floor. The bites have stoped that same night. However over time seeing how it is a extreme infestation I will have to spray again. After 2 weeks have past we still see them and get bit maybe once or twice in the past 2 weeks. Mind you this is an extreme infestation. Mostly wolf spiders and hobo spiders. I would highly recommend this product. The only complaint I have is I wish it was easier to pour into the water for mixing. Without getting more into the oz part of the container. Causing an unknow amount extra to be the in mix.

We purchased our home last year September, our back porch was so infested with mosquitoes we couldn't even open the patio door it was so bad, not to mention sitting out back, thousands of them swarming around as I was watching thru the window in disgust, I've never seen anything like it. So finally I thought of the "do my own products" and checked specifically for mosquitos, I ordered the 1 gallon Talstar P Professional and what can I say.... the day after my husband sprayed I couldn't believe my eyes, I could open my patio door cause there was no mosquito in sight, now 1 month later there were maybe a couple here and there and my husband sprayed again yesterday, I now can look forward to enjoy many days outside of relaxing and bbq's day or evening without the plaque of mosquitos throughout the summer time, well here it's pretty much throughout the year hahaha The 1 gallon will allow me to spray my kids's front and back of house too to get rid of their mosquitoes! This stuff works and is just awesome.

DoMyOwn was EXCELLENT customer service! Shipped fast and we had trouble with a new address and they immediately were responsive and sent out a new order ASAP. I've used Talstar P before and it lasts forever. It IS FANTASTIC pesticide - best ever! Follow directions; use w/care - but easy to mix and use. Once applied -- works to control ALL pests for at least 3-4 months. I apply to perimeter of my home to control ants/spiders and have absolutely problems. I apply quarterly. In my beach house (inside) - I applied carefully along baseboard to control roaches (TH) where we were absentee owners; again -- never had a problem. When I would return -- maybe see 1-2 dead pill bugs or 1 dead roach but that was it. Even neighbors who would get "spring ant infestation" would call me to spray their home perimeter and were amazed how fast and efficient this stuff worked when their "retail sprays/pest products" failed. Just be sure to keep pets away 24 hours once applied.

I live in Maine. Ticks are everywhere you go in my area and worst part is they are usually deer ticks which, carry lyme more than 50% of the time. I know quite a few who have had lyme disease and they live with lifelong pain and other problems now. Thanks to Talstar P I don't have to worry about ticks or mosquitos in the yard anymore. I live in the woods and with swampy areas all around. I should have ordered sooner this year but, I didn't know it would warm up so quickly and the ticks would be out in force. Everyone of the demons has been a deer tick. So, I have to get this laid down quick. Before one of us gets Lyme or worse. I can safely say that Talstar P has been protecting my family for 3 years now and I am so thankful for this product. I mix 1oz to each gallon and use a backpack sprayer. IDK if 1oz/gal is overkill but, I don't mess around with taking the chance of it not killing every tick possible. I have already had 7 ticks on me and 2 latched on into the skin. I swear they are becoming more vicious. Don't hesitate to buy Talstar P. It works!!!

We live in Florida and have a "caged" (screened) pool area. We love tropical plants and the color they give to this area, so we have many planters with Hibiscus, Mandevilla, a palm, and two bamboo plants. Last year was a banner year for an onslaught of white flies that attacked especially the Hibiscus and Mandevilla. I tried everything from "home remedies" to systemics to every commercial product that lists "white flies" on its' label. Literally. Even yellow sticky cards in every pot. Nothing would touch them. It was driving us crazy! Then I was lucky enough to stumble onto this website and saw that they recommended Talstar P if the plants weren't overrun with the pests. Knock on wood and I'm holding my breath, but after spraying the Talstar with a mixture of 1/2 oz to a gallon of water, there have been maybe, two or three white flies that I've seen, and that was a week or so ago, and now I see ZERO. All of the plants are thriving instead of having the life sucked out of them, and we are very, very happy with this product to say the least. It is the only thing that's worked, period. And it's worked on fire ants, scorpions, etc. (typical Florida bugs) since I've sprayed it around the outside of the house (for this, 1 oz per gallon), and we haven't seen any of those since the treatment, either. Love the Talstar!

Absolutely shocked and amazed at how great this product works. My husband and I noticed last summer of water bugs coming inside our home or few roaches here and there that were small. If you are anything like me I hate bugs of any kind especially a roach. We have never had this issue before and I wanted something that was going to do the job inside and outside. I started researching pest control companies and found the product Talstar P. I read the reviews and it was a professional product for customer purchase over the counter. It was money well spent. We spray as recommended by directions inside around baseboards, doorways, underneath the stove, refrigerator, and corners. Outside my husband sprays 3ft out from the house and sprays the outline perimeter, windows, patio, porch, sun room, around where our daughter plays, and near the dogs area. We haven't had any issues with any roaches. I have seen 3 since last summer each one has been dead or just froze in place and slow moving. I noticed it killed all bees we had, mosquitoes, gnats, flies, spiders, stink bugs etc. The only thing I hated was the poor lady bugs that got killed. But I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who is having an issue with few pests! But it want stop and infestation that would be more in depth.
