I bought a 3/4 gallon can and have used it for last one year. I do see many reviews here that say it does not work on many insects but my experience has been that it has worked as I had expected. In Arizona where I live there are mainly crickets, roaches and scorpions in the yard that I am trying to get rid of. I apply 5 gallon (1oz/gallon of this product) every month to my outside perimeter (Approx. 250 ft). I have seen bunch of dead Scorpions, Roaches and Crickets. Yes, there are few roaming around but I find them mostly dead the next day. I have had very good luck controlling Scorpions with this product. One more thing to note that during the summer, I rotate one application with Cy-Kick in May and August. This seams to work even better on the critters. But Cy-Kick is quite more expensive then this one. So I would suggest get a 96oz Talstar and 16 oz Cy-Kick ~$80($40+$40) and you are done for year and half. That is quite some deal doing it yourself. Lastly, this site is just great with lots of information and FAQ's for first timer. Good work!

Worked great inside and outside the house. Killed insects on contact. My biggest concern was mosquitoes. Talstar P decimated the mosquitoe population around my house and kept the mosquitoes away from the yard back and front and side. Bonus all the other insects like spiders, moths etc all disappeared too. As other reviewers have stated that depending how much it rains and temprature variations the outside has to be treated monthly in my case, I live in Houston TX. Please dont use it against me ;) I love the place been here more than 20 years. Now its even better with all the pesky insects eliminated. I followed instructions from the manufacturer and also used some advice from reviewers of this product like using dish washing liquid. I am very happy with my purchase and am saving $300 annually by doing my own pest control.

I fired my pest control company and used this inside my home and overnight I say dead pests all over the place. What was the pest control technician using? water? Anyway, I also sprayed around the foundation of my home and saw spiders running like crazy. It looked like the grass was crawling! The next day, dead spiders around the house. The next week, no more spiders! I bought this because of the spider problem and after killing a brown recluse hanging on the foundation! This stuff rocks!

I had an extreme tick problem in my house. One of my dogs were infested with them also. I contacted a local exterminator who I have used for years. They came out and said it would cost $1800.00 they would have to come 3 times, I would have to be out of the house for atleast 8 hours and best of all they could not promise it would work. So I contacted my vet and she told me to find a product that had Talstar in it. I have used this product with total success and I have a happy home environment again. My dog was treated by an awesome groomer and we can report we are tick free. I have told my exterminator, that I can do my own yard and house now. I have shared your company with local pet shelters and rescue groups. Thank you

I give this product top rating. I Live in south Florida, where we have lots of bugs in the summer. I have been putting Talstar around the outside of my house as a barrier for ants, palmetto, (giant roaches) and various other insects that I don't want in my house. I have been using Talstar once a month for about 5 years. And I haven't had a bug problem in my house since. About 3 years ago south Florida started to get infested by white fly on our ficus hedge and Spiral White fly on various tropical plants. I have been spraying talstar on those plants and my lawn and I have not had a White fly problem since. That's why I gave it *****. The price for 3/4 gallon @ Do My Own Pest Control is terrific. At my local do it yourself pest control store it cost $110 a quart.

My house is behind a street drain and I had hundreds of sewer roaches in my house. YUCK. My neighbor is an exterminator and helped us out with some glue traps and sprayed the perimeter of my house. The glue traps filled up in a week but many were still getting in the house. I got some Telstar P, a sprayer and some more glue traps. The first time I sprayed my entire lawn and perimeter we had many dead bugs on our driveway and back patio. A few weeks later we saw baby bugs in the house and sprayed again. After that the glue traps stayed mostly empty and we had zero indoor bugs. My neighbor was amazed for the cost of two exterminator visits I had coverage for years to come.

A friend moved his trailer from my property and left the area congested with fleas. I tried other products but none helped. After 2 applications of Talstar P, ten days apart, all the fleas, and all other bugs, are gone. It worked great. Will be using it from now on.

Great for killing those pesky tiny little ants that you can't seem to keep out of your house or worse the kitchen. This spray stops them cold. Last year I sprayed 2x early & late last summer. The products that I had bought at Walmart don't seem to work even for a day, this product does.

Waterbugs...dead. Ants...gone. Carpenter bees...dead. This stuff is amazing. Two days to get rid of water bugs. One hour after spraying carpenter bee holes I found five dead on the ground. You can't beat the value or the results. Follow the label and you'll save yourself a lot of exterminator bills!

When I bought this on sale I wondered if it would do the job of a professional service. I have been using this for the past 4 years or more and I can say with each time of the application, it is great. My wife hates to see any bugs and Talstar P does the job of keeping my wife happy. What more can a man say. Happy wife, Happy life.

it works, dead bugs everywhere, no ants ,no crickets, don't know how long it lasts, but sure nice to have bugs disappear. even mud daubers disappear. price is good, 2 mixed gallons covers large area. try it u'll like it

Bought Talstar P to control horrendous fly problem. It certainly does work. It is still killing flies & BIG spiders 2 weeks later. Lots of other unwanted pests are dropping dead also. No odor is a plus.

This is a 5 star product. Great results, you can't believe how well it works. I am using to control fire ants and household bugs and once sprayed you find dead bugs for weeks. Fantastic product at a good price.

Before using Talstar we could not let our grandchildren play in the yard. The mosquitos were terrible! Now everyone enjoys the outside. This product works fantastic even after torrid rains after spraying. We gave some to our neighbor who sprayed before a July 4th party. He got rave reviews for the mosquito free yard. Now he's ordered his own.

I use this product for a 'bug free' environment. I spray according to directions 2 times a year and have had GREAT results with it. Do not have to always be cleaning spider webs or fighting ants, bugs. They are not in or around my home with this product. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product

I have used this product for years in and around my homes in Southern California. I spray every few months for ants, caterpillars, crickets and flies. It is one of the best products on the market that I know of. Buying from "Do My Own Pest Control" has always been a positive experience as well. If I have a question all I need do is call or email them. I always get a rapid response. Kudos to this company and this product!

I've spent approximately $400 pr yr, for 10 yrs, paying an exterminator to "wash" my house (pressure spray) to keep pests out for the spring, summer, and fall in NE Ohio. Right around spring it's extremely important to treat the house as a means of deterring stinging insects from establishing nests on your property. The old adage "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" ( Ben Franklin) certainly applies here. In June of 2013 I moved to a much larger property and the exterminator's fees went WAY up. I figured that I could buy the same equipment and do the job myself. The theory was a couple of years it would pay for itself. So I went online and found this site on Google, I called the number for advice and read the reviews. It would appear that Talstar P was the way to go.... in fact this $28 product might be what the exterminator was using all those years. I bought a Solo 451 and TS1... the results have been Incredible! I have a one acre lake and creek, lots of water, lots of mosquitoes....not any more. I've sprayed 6 gals of solution over 5 acres and the bugs are gone! I've sprayed my fishing dock, patio, exterior of home, shed , around tree line, ect and I have at least accomplished what I was paying the exterminator $400 for. So, for a mostest investment (you dont need the backpack blower) and $28 I've saved about $600 per year. AND i have to admit... playing with the blower is a lot of FUN. LOL PS in my case a dilution rate of 1 ounce per gallon: It would appear that "6 ounces of Telstar is worth $600 in savings". :)

Sprayed Talstar outside up sides and out several feet from house resolved mosquitos, which is good because I constantly walk out of house with vacuum containers of fleas. Talstar indoors around baseboards/cracks did not do much for fleas. It cannot be used to broadcast spray indoors so I used Demize EC/Precor for that several times which did not work either. Permethrin can be broadcast sprayed indoors and does help with fleas.

The northwoods had the worst infestation of mosquitoes in the 25 years we have summered here. I heard about this product from a neighbor. I used their 4 gal. backpac (easy to use even for small women) and the Talstar product....We used our patio that eve for the first time in a month. We were having lots of people coming and I thought of having 6 adults, two large dogs and 4 girls in and out of the house, and thus a house full of mosquitoes..Horrible! This product saved my sanity...I havent had misquitoes for over a month with one application..and its safe for all flora and fauna. I took 2 hrs. spraying everything I could even the flora down the road to our home...

I had an issue with white footed ants (small black ants). They came in marching order and walked up the outside of the house, nothing I used worked....UNTIL I USED TALSTAR... The first application and they were gone... It was amazing!

Talstar has helped control "Tawny (Rasberry) Crazy Ants" at my residence in Galveston County. Nothing probably will eliminate them. The Talstar seemed OK to use indoors and on trees. It left no visible stains. I have applied it around the exterior perimeter of the house and garage more than once - it goes a long way.

We have a large population of Katydid's on and around our home. My husband sprayed 2 feet up the brick and 3 feet from the house. It worked great and is still working a month later. I would reccomend this product.

We live out in the country so we get a lot of bugs coming in. This year it was millipedes, I had never even seen a wormy bug like this before , but they seemed to like our house, and we would kill about 10 a day, Bought this, watched the video, sprayed inside and out, no more millipedes, in fact no more bugs in the house at all...Yippee! I love the wide variety of bugs it kills, super easy to use, doesn't stain, quick, painless..and best of all...no bugs!! Love it!!

Couldn't step outside without Asian Tiger Mosquitos on you within 20 seconds. They were everywhere and awful at all hours of the day. We would never sit outside on the patio because we were being eaten alive. Couldn't take our infant daughter out for a dip in her little kiddie pool because they were everywhere and relentless in their attacks. I didn't want to pay one of the local mosquito squad companies to come out and spray and charge me their high fee monthly, but i was on the verge of doing it. After a little research, I decided to attempt it myself first, so I found the reviews for Talstar. I was very skeptical, but decided to give it a try. I applied as directed along base of foundation, along property lines, shrubs, ivy, flower beds, under shed. etc. in one evening after work. I mixed and used about 6 gallons total at 1 oz. per gallon. Probably took an hour and a half to spray with the basic no-frills pump sprayer I ordered at the same time. By the next afternoon they were gone and we haven't seen them in 3 weeks at time of this review. We are finally able to enjoy being outdoors in the evenings. I regret not looking into this stuff sooner, it works great. Will re-apply monthly and this 3/4 gal bottle should last me a long time.
