We recommended that you keep pets out of the area while applying Taurus SC. Once the product has dried completely, it is safe for pets to return to the area.
Taurus SC Termiticide treatment can be spread across several days as long as it does not rain and the trench can be filled in prior to rain.
Taurus SC Termiticide is not labeled for fire ants. Depending if you are doing a broadcast or individual mound treatment, we would recommend using Talstar P or Talstar Xtra Granules for fire ant control. Taurus SC is not labeled for mole crickets. You cannot use Taurus SC out in the lawn as this type of treatment is prohibited by the Taurus product label. Taurus can only be used on or within one foot of a structure. We have a great Treatment Guide for Mole Crickets here.
Taurus SC Termiticide should be applied in a trench around the pads and any other foundation where the soil touches.
You should not consume any edible vegetation that has come in direct contact with Taurus SC Termiticide. General rule of thumb is that you should keep Taurus SC treatments at least 10 feet away from any edible vegetation and you should discard anything that may be contaminated with a direct spray.
Taurus SC Termiticide can only be used outside as a perimeter spray for roaches. If you already have an infestation in your home you would want to go with one of our Roach Control Kits for the quickest and best results.
A 20 oz. bottle of Taurus SC Termiticide will cover approximately 300 square feet. This is equal to 60 lineal feet.

Yes, you can inject Taurus SC under the slab that is part of the house area. This would be considered part of your termite treatment since they were found active in this area. You would NOT be permitted to apply the Taurus SC to the new wood that is being installed. The best product for this application would be Boracare which is a wood preservative that can be applied to any raw wood and lasts for the life of the wood.
Our most popular spray for ant control outdoors around structurers is Taurus SC. This is a liquid concentrate that you would apply with a hand pump sprayer and treat all around the foundation of the structure, treating 1 foot up onto the house and 1 foot out from it on the ground. You should also spot treat places where the ants are likely to enter such as door frames, window frames, and where utilities enter. Taurus SC is pet safe once the application is dry. Taurus SC Termiticide works great as a termite preventative in soil. We would recommend applying Boracare as a wood treatment prior to sealing or painting. Please see our Termite Guide for the most up to date tips for termite treatment and prevention.
In the area where the well is located, you cannot use the trenching method, only the backfill method is allowed. The backfill method instructs you to trench and place the soil that was removed onto a tarp, pour 1 gallon of diluted solution per 1 cubic ft of soil, mix thoroughly, return soil to trench. The complete instructions are listed on the Taurus product label under the heading "Treatment of structure with wells or cisterns"
Taurus SC Termiticide is really the superior product between it and the Dominion. If you applied as directed and treated the soil well in the area you would not need to go over with Dominion. If the soil was not wet enough after applying 4 gallons over 10 lineal feet, you can go back with a mix of the Taurus to make sure the soil was treated properly.
