Tekko Pro Insect Growth Regulator does not carry foaming instructions on the product label, so we would not recommend it for this use. A good alternative with the same primary active ingredient, Pyriproxyfen, would be Pivot 10 IGR Concentrate, which does carry labeling for use in foaming equipment. Please see our Roach Treatment Guide for more information about roach control.

Tekko Pro Insect Growth Regulator is labeled safe for ornamentals such as orchids. However, Tekko by itself will not get rid of any insect nor is it labeled for aphids. You may consider using Talstar P Professional Insecticide instead which is labeled for aphids & can also be used on ornamentals. We do recommend avoiding spraying the blooms to limit contact with polinators and apply in early morning or late evening when they are less active.
Fleas do require repeat applications and can take atleast 3-4 applications to eliminate fleas and may take even longer for more severe infestations.
Permethrin SFR 36.8% is not a contact kill for fleas or any listed insects however leaves a residual to keep working after the application has dried. Even with a contact kill insecticide, repeat treatments are required due to the life cycle of fleas. When treating for fleas, adding an insect growth regulator is definitely recommended as this helps stop the reproduction cycle of fleas. Frequent vacuuming is an important part of a flea treatment program indoors as flea eggs are protected while in their egg casings and flea eggs must hatch in order to contact the insecticide treatment.
Do not overmix or oversaturate the surfaces, applications should be applied no more than recommended per the product label and to the point of being slightly damp, not soaking wet.
DE (Diatomaceous Earth) is a slower kill for insects therefore Cimexa Dust would be a better option for flea treatments. After the spray application has dried, apply Cimexa Dust to the carpet, rugs, and pet resting areas and deep work into the carpet fibers using a broom or stiff brush. Once the dust has been worked into the carpet, vacuuming can resume the next day.
Repeat this process of spraying carpets, rugs, pet resting areas and Cimexa Dust every 14 days until fleas are eliminated.
Our Indoor Flea Kit would be a great alternative treatment for an effective and easy to use treament program for fleas. This kit contains PT Alpine Flea and Bedbug Aerosol and CimeXa Insecticide Dust to offer multiple active ingredients and modes of action to provide a quick initial knockdown of adults and then long term residual control for younger stages of fleas.
View our Indoor Flea Treatment Video for a demonstration of how to use these products.
Additional treatment measures that should be done include monthly topical flea treatments for pets and applying an insecticide labeled for fleas to outdoor areas such as lawns, ornamental beds, landscapes and areas where pets are frequent outside. Permethrin SFR 36.8 can be used to treat outdoor areas also.
View our Flea Treatment Guide for more information.

Talstar P is labeled for ants at the rate of 0.5 fl oz to 1 fl oz per gallon of water and can be tank mixed with Tekko Pro Insect Growth Regulator for a 2 in 1 application. Please view the Talstar P product label as well as our Ant Control Guide for more information and helpful tips on eradicating this pest.Tekko Pro Insect Growth Regulator is not labeled for Spider Mites and being an Insect Growth Regulator, would not have any killing qualities to it. IGR’s only help stop or inhibit the growth cycle of listed insects and should be tank mixed with an insecticide also labeled for the target insect.
Talstar P would be recommended for Spider Mites as it works well for both the mature and the immature spider mites. Talstar P provides optimal spider mite control during Spring to mid-Summer when applied at the higher application rates and/or more frequent treatments at the lower rate.

Tekko Pro IGR should NOT be applied directly to any animal including dogs. Please check out our Flea Treatment Products that are safe for applications on pets.
Tekko Pro Insect Growth Regulator is not labeled for spiders, nor is any other IGR that we are aware of. However, by adding an IGR to the tank mixture with an insecticide, you can effectively break the life cycle of some of the insects that spiders feed upon, thereby reducing the spider activity in and around your home, indirectly.
You can mix either Tekko Pro or Gentrol IGR with Demon WP or any other insecticide. You should not mix all 3 together.
Talstar P and Tekko Pro Insect Growth Regulator can be used in a hose end sprayer as long as the hose end sprayer can be properly calibrated to spray the correct amount of product per gallon of water. Both are mixed at 1 ounce per 1 gallon of water, which will treat approximately 1000 square feet.
Tekko Pro Insect Growth Regulator Concentrate is labeled for ants but this product will not kill insects, it works only as a growth regulator to help stop the reproduction. Please review the product labels for recommended rates and application instructions.
