    A

Tempo SC Ultra is not labeled to kill bed bugs. Our bedbug kits come with all top of the line products that are available on the market today, along with instructions to follow. When applied properly, our kits have a very high success rate. We recommend reading our article on How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs for more information on a treatment program using the products and non-chemical efforts.

    Q
What is the Half Life of Tempo SC Ultra Insecticide
I am having a roach problem and have had it for two years. The Pest Control Co. I have had for the two years insists that spraying around and in the home every 3 months should do the job. The Chemicals used : Mother Earth Scatter Bait - Phantom SC 0.5% - Prelude EC 0.05% and recently - Tempo SC Ultra Insecticide. After checking into a Prelude's half life I am concern and wonder about the 3 mo. intervals on the rest. Please respond, I need your opinion.
    A
Tempo SC Ultra has a resiudual of 3 months indoors. However, a key part of eradiacting roaches is to incorporate a roach  bait. A great roach bait to use is Vendetta Plus. Vendetta Plus is an effective cockroach bait, plus, it contains the insect growth regulator (IGR) NyGuard which interrupts the life cycle of the roach and helps to prevent future infestations.

  • Asked by Jon from Huntington Beach, Ca

    Q
What is the difference between Tempo and Temprid?
I'm mainly using it for cockroaches indoors. Mostly kitchen and dining area. What's the difference between Tempo and Temprid and what are the advantages/disadvantages
    A

The active ingredient in Tempo SC actually is also in the Temprid SC along with the active igredient from Merit, Imidacloprid. In Temprid SC, beta-cyfluthrin (Tempo) provides a quick knockdown for immediate control, while the imidacloprid (Merit) provides long-lasting results and far-reaching control through a transfer effect but kills closer to do so.  The two active ingredients affect targets pests differently, offering complete and unique control for the toughest pests, even when resistance is a concern.  For roaches it would be recommend to also use an IGR (insect growth regulator) and baits.  We have a great guide here that can help.

    Q
Can I use Tempo SC Ultra in a hose end sprayer for Chiggers?
What is the mix ratio for Tempo SC Ultra for use in a hose end sprayer? Is this a good insecticide for Chiggers?
    A
You should apply Tempo SC Ultra at a rate of 8 ml of Tempo per 1000 square feet.  The amount of water depends on how much you need to apply the 8 ml over the area of 1000s square feet.  It can be mixed with a few gallons of water, or 10 gallons of water, just as long as the 8 ml is applied over the 1000 square feet.

  • Asked by Melissa from Lake Placid
    08/20/2011
    Q
Which product would be best for flea and tick control indoors and out, Tempo SC or Demand CS?
    A

Demand CS is not labeled for use indoors for flea control, and Tempo SC is no longer labeled to control fleas.  Either product would be a great choice for outdoor flea control. Most customers use a product such as Ultracide for indoor flea control and then use a liquid concentrate like Demand or Tempo outdoors. If you want to use the same product for both indoor and outdoor flea treatments, you should consider purchasing our Outdoor Flea Kit. This kit contains Onslaught, which is a broad-spectrum insecticide that can be used as a broadcast spray for both indoor and outdoor infestations. The kit also contains Martin's IGR, which will help break the breeding cycle of the fleas for long-term control.
