    Q
How can I get rid of roaches and rats?
I have roaches in my house, mainly in my kitchen, I have tried store bought stuff but it doesn't work. I know I have critters in my attic as well as my yard as well. I'm looking for the best products to get rid of them, the house probably should be tented, but I don't have that in my budget...I also need something safe..I have three dogs.
    A

Temprid FX is a good all-around product that can be used for roach control and a wide variety of insects. Temprid FX needs to be applied on baseboards, cracks and crevices, it can also be used safely in the attic. You will need to keep pets out of the area being treated until it's all completely dry. For a thorough roach control, we recommend using our Roach Control Kit A, not only will you have an insecticide but a bait gel and an insect growth regulator to interrupt their reproductive cycle, it also includes insect glue boards to monitor your treatment. We recommend reading over our Roach Control Treatment Guide for further tips and information.

For rat control, we would recommend using the Protecta Rat Bait Station and Fastrac Blox kit. You'll need to wear gloves when handling the stations as well as the bait. Fill the stations and place at least one on each side of the home, you will need to use either stakes or a concrete block to secure the stations. We recommend reading over our Rat Control Treatment Guide for further tips and information.

    Q
Will Temprid FX Insecticide work for a severe cockroach infestation?
    A

Temprid FX Insecticide is a great product for roaches and should do a good job towards helping you eliminate the infestation.  However, if the infestation is severe, it should not be the sole product used.  We would recommend using one of our Roach Control Kits for best results.   You may want to look over our Roach Treatment Guide for more information.

    Q
Can you spray Temprid FX, Termidor SC, or any other insecticide on wet, damp soil?
Should the soil be dry for these products to be sprayed?
    A

We do not suggest treating damp soil with Temprid FX, Termidor SC, or any other insecticides.  For best results, apply in dry conditions and when rain is not expected for 24 hours.

  • Asked by Leonard from Crosby, Tx
    11/09/2018
    Q
Can I use Temprid FX in a barn infested with fleas?
My barn is infested with fleas I have used several products that has slowed them some, my stalls are covered. I pulled all straw and shavings out then sprayed with a product I have used in the past. I need help.
    A

While Temprid FX is labeled to kill fleas, it does not include barns as part of the areas that can be treated with this product. You can use Tempo SC Ultra 32 mL along with NyGuard IGR to help disrupt the life cycle of the fleas or Onslaught Insecticide along with NyGuard IGR. Make sure all food and water troughs are covered or removed and the animals are removed as well. Let the treated areas completely dry before letting the animals back into the barns. For flea treatments, you can retreat every 14 days as needed. We also recommend that the animals get their own flea treatment done as they may also reintroduce fleas back into the barn. We recommend reading over our Flea Treatment Guide for further tips and information.

  • Asked by Gayle from Phoenix
    06/07/2019
    Q
Can Temprid FX be used around my fruit trees without touching the trunks and when is it safe to eat the fruit?
Temprid FX was just sprayed today, 6/7/19 all around my edible fruit trees into the soil, if it gets into the roots would it make the fruit inedible? How far away from tomato plants, and other herbs can it be sprayed?
    A

Temprid FX Insecticide is not labeled to be used on or around anything edibles.  You should keep applications outside of the dripline on fruit trees and at least 15 feet away from anything edible such as vegetables and herbs just to avoid any contact.  Since it does contain a systemic active ingredient it can be absorbed by the roots if it gets down to them on the fruit trees, it would not be recommended to consume anything from the the tree for at least a growing season to be safe.

  • Asked by Kevin from Little Elm, Tx
    06/14/2019
    Q
Will Temprid FX Insecticide kill chiggers?
    A

Temprid FX Insecticide is not specifically labeled for chiggers. Onslaught is a great product for chigger control. Treatments for chiggers should begin in April/May and could/need to continue through the summer as new chiggers move into the area. Treating the entire lawn is of little benefit because chiggers avoid direct sunlight and normally will not infest areas that are mowed or otherwise well maintained. Focus treatment on the unkempt areas of the lawn and lawn edge. You can also use Onslaught to do a barrier treatment around the outside of your home and in your crawl space to stop pests from moving indoors.

    Q
Does Temprid FX Insecticide help with roaches and fleas?
    A

Yes, Temprid FX Insecticide will kill adult listed insects including roaches and fleas. It should not be the sole product for roach control or flea treatment applications. We do offer Roach Control Kits (containing Temprid FX) and if treating indoors you could use Gentrol IGR/Gentrol Point Source stations and roach bait gel. If you are spraying outdoors for fleas you can use Temprid in conjunction with Archer IGR. We also have great guides on how to get rid of fleas and  How to Get Rid of Roaches that you may find helpful.

  • Asked by Verta from Merced, California
    09/06/2019
    Q
Can you recommend a product that can be shipped to CA that kills Asian and German roaches?
    A

Temprid FX is a really great product to use for roaches. The product contains two active ingredients that offer a quickdown and also a residual. When dealing with a roach infestation, you will need to be sure to eliminate the food and water source for the roaches and use an insecticide, a roach gel bait, and an insect growth regulator (IGR) labeled for roaches to completely eradicate the population. Please take a few moments to view our article on How to Get Rid of Roaches for more information.

    Q
Does Temprid FX Insecticide kill on contact while spraying?
    A

No, while Temprid FX provides a quick kill with the active ingredient Cyfluthrin as part of the dual mode of action, it does not kill instantly. ExciteR would be recommended for a contact kill pyrethrin insecticide. Once dry, this will not leave any residual.
