Yes, Temprid FX Insecticide can be mixed with ExciteR and Gentrol an applied in one application. Both ExciteR and Gentrol can be mixed with any insecticide.
Per a technical specialist at Bayer regarding the efficacy of the Temprid FX: It is not a question of efficacy of the active ingredients changing on different surfaces (as long as all are chemically neutral), but the amount of exposure to residues based on interference by the physical properties of the surface. Temprid (or any other residual insecticide) would generally be more efficacious (with all other factors like UV exposure, relative humidity, temperature exposures, surface pH being equal) against bed bugs on a hard, non-porous surface because if applied at the same amount, you would expect more of the deposit on the non-porous surface to be available for exposure to the target pest than on a porous surface.
When using Temprid FX Insecticide for bed bugs you are only applying to cracks and crevices and along baseboards in rooms, not across entire surfaces. Please refer to the product label for complete instructions.
Temprid FX would be the best insecticide to use for active roach infestations due to the 2 active ingredients and dual modes of action it uses. Bifen IT would be suggested for general maintenance or preventative applications but not the recommended product if you have active roaches.
Active roach infestations require a combination of products and repeat treatments every 7-14 days to eradicate. Using a residual spray alone will not fully eradicate a roach colony. We recommend one of our Roach Control Kits to provide you with a residual insecticide, roach bait and insect growth regulator to help stop the reproduction. These kits provide enough products for the initial treatment as well as 2-3 follow up treatments.
View our How to Get Rid of Roach Treatment Guide for more information.
Temprid FX is labeled to help target bed bug eggs, nymphs and adults. Bed bug eggs that are directly treated are killed outright, and young nymphs/ that emerge from eggs are killed by dried residues.
Temprid FX Insecticide could kill those adult drain flies that contact a treated area long enough to receive a lethal dose. Please refer to our How to get rid of Drain Flies guide for fthe most effective treatment.
Temprid FX Insecticide would be a great product to use to treat for mosquitoes that may carry the Zika virus. The key is to apply to the underside of the leaves on trees/bushes where the adults lay during the day. You can also find our Mosquito Control Guide here.
Please keep in mind that insecticides are not a substitute for personal protection, and that we cannot provide medical treatment advice.
The most effective way to remove the residual of Temprid FX Insecticide that has been applied to furniture on surfaces that will have skin contact is to steam clean the surface area. Per the product label, Temprid FX should be applied to only to the infested tufts, seams, folds, and edges, but do not apply to flat surfaces where prolonged human contact will occur.
No, Temprid FX does not contain a polymer. Suspend Polyzone would be an insecticide that contains a special polymer to help it last longer on outside surfaces.
