Generally when spraying with Temprid FX Insecticide, pets should be removed from the room while spraying & may return once the product has dried. Since these are exotic birds though, we would recommend checking with your vet to make sure that it is okay that they are only removed from a room. Birds in general can be super sensitive to products and need to be completely out of treatment areas for several hours. Regarding the smell, the product does state it has a low odor but it should go away by the time the product dries. You may also open the windows to help dissipate the smell quicker
Make sure all animals are removed from the area at the time of applying Temprid FX Insecticide. Let the treated areas completely dry before letting the animals back in, best to allow several hours and air out the area well.

Temprid FX Insecticide is a great product for all roaches including the American Roach (water bugs) and should do a good job towards helping you eliminate the infestation. However, if the infestation is severe, it should not be the sole product used. We would recommend using one of our Roach Control Kits for best results.
