  • Asked by Jennifer from St. Louis, Mo
    05/29/2018
    Q
How long will it take the Temprid and Cimexa to get rid of my bed bugs?
    A

When you are spraying Temprid SC for bed bugs, it is recommended that you spray every 7-10 days until you do not see activity for 30 days. How long the product takes to work depends on how severe the problem is to begin with, your other treatment methods, and how thorough treatments are. Temprid SC does offer a long residual, however it is important to perform follow-up treatments at close intervals to kill newly hatched bed bugs that may be present in the area. Please see our Bed Bug Treatment article for more information.

    Q
Can Temprid SC Insecticide be used for bird mites?
    A

Temprid SC Insecticide is labeled for clover mites, not any other mites. It is recommended that you remove the nest from the area and treat with something like Onslaught Insecticide. This product is labeled for mites specifically. The rate is 1 fl oz per gallon of water.

  • Asked by David from Davenport, Florida
    03/10/2017
    Q
What is the best insecticide for roaches and general pests in central Florida?
    A

Temprid SC is one of the best products for roaches and other pests.  You can treat outdoors, one foot up on the foundation and one foot out on the ground. Indoors, you can spray on baseboards areas and cracks and crevices. If you are dealing with German roaches, we would recommend to use something like our Roach Control Kit Rotation A.

  • Asked by Bob from Union, Nj
    11/30/2014
    Q
Can I use Bedlam Plus aerosol and Temprid liquid for baseboards at the same time?
I notice in your answers to others you mention you can use Bedlam Plus aerosol and Temprid liquid for baseboards, my question is should I use both on baseboards or just one? If just one, which is preferred?
    A
You would typically use the Temprid SC along the baseboards and use an aerosol like the Bedlam Plus along areas it would be more useful like the crevices of dresser drawers and cracks of shelving, and along the sides of the mattress seams or couch cushions. While you could use the Bedlam Plus along the baseboards areas since it is labeled for use in that space, the Temprid would be a much better option and more cost effective and less time consuming that trying to cover that large of a surface with a can. If you feel it necessary to use the Bedlam Plus along the baseboards at some point, you could always alternate your sprays every 7 days with Bedlam Plus and Temprid.

  • Asked by David from Norwalk Ct But For Use In New Jersey
    11/10/2013
    Q
Is it a good idea to use both Temprid SC and Phantom for bed bugs?
    A
Temprid can be used as a perimeter treatment in the rooms and Phantom Aerosol would be a great choice to spot treat mattresses, boxsprings, and treat other cracks and crevices. You may also want to add a dust insecticide into your treatment such as Cimexa Dust.

  • Asked by Ed from Springfield, Il
    11/19/2013
    Q
Can Temprid SC be used in a hand held propane fogger?
We have old fashioned ceiling tiles, the kind with hundreds of little "holes" crevices and such. We have caulked every thing in sight, bleached walls down, steamed, used: Demand, Gentrol, Phantom, Raid for Bed Bugs, bed bug fogger (early on... and found out the hard way they don't work), and Dusted. We soon realized the ceilings had to be infested. Whenever we would be sitting in one place, they would drop down from the ceiling and start biting away. We called in a well know exterminator service to knock these things out. They came in, supposedly treated... using 3 (THREE) ounces of Phantom spray and dusted two of the four bedrooms. They claimed they didn't see any evidence of bed bugs though. We provided several tape specimens which they agreed were bed bugs. We told/showed them where they were caught and seen. We didn't have the money to hire an exterminator, so we financed the services. Here we are, over $2,000 spent to eliminate these things and treatment didn't seem to make a dent. We came back to DoMyOwn and purchased Temprid. This HAS made a difference. We know the ceiling is still harboring them due to all the perfect hiding and gripping aspects. We need something we can use to cover these areas. Since we have seen such great results with Temprid (in spray cans), we would like to use a hand fogger to apply Temprid SC to the ceilings. Will the fogger affect the Temprid in any way or make it ineffective? How would we mix to use in fogger?
    A
No, Temprid SC is not labeled to be applied in a fogger. Temprid SC can be used indoors as a spot treatment or as a void injection by mist, foam, or crack and crevice spray, and outdoors as a perimeter treatment, general surface spray, or foliar application to established landscape ornamentals. Always read the product label completely before use.
Foggers are not recommended for bedbugs. Bedbugs hide directly in cracks and crevices, foggers meanwhile only go straight up in the air and then come straight down onto to surfaces. Foggers do not penetrate into cracks and crevices where bedbugs harbor. The key to bedbug elimination is good quality products and thorough treatments. You will want to use Temprid through a hand pump sprayer to more effectively treat the ceiling's cracks and crevices.

  • Asked by Dj from South Dakota

    Q
We sprayed Temprid SC and my child stepped in the spray. Should I be worried?
My child came home from school shortly after we sprayed. My husband got a little carried away with the spray and some got on the carpet. My son then stepped on it while it was still wet. He just came into the house for a second to ask his dad something. They weren't suppose to be inside. I made him rinse as soon as I discovered he had stepped in it. I am very worried. Thanks
    A

Per the Temprid SC product label:

If on skin:  • Take off any contaminated clothing.
                    • Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15 to 20 minutes.
                    • Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice.
