    Q
Should I use Temprid SC when treating the perimeter of the house for other bugs after doing a termite treatment with Dominion 2L?
I treated my house with Dominion 2L using the trenching method for termites. Will using a repellent reduce the efficacy of Dominion 2L on termites?
    A

If the soil was treated topically with Dominion 2L within the past six months, I would wait to apply the Temprid SC up against the structure in the same area. If the area was treated prior to that time, you can apply Temprid SC for a perimeter treatment for the other insects that crawl on top of the soil.

    Q
What is the difference between Suspend SC and Temprid SC?
    A

Temprid SC and Suspend SC are both products that contain different active ingredients that are classified as a synthetic pyrethroid so they really are very similar in the way that they work. Unlike Suspend, Temprid offers a unique dual mode of action by combining two powerful and effective residual insecticides: beta-cyfluthrin and imidacloprid. (Imidacloprid is in a different class of insecticides, neonicotinoids.) The result is Temprid, which provides quick knockdown and long residual control and works great for resistance strains of some pests.  It all comes down more to what you are treating for when deciding which would be best for your situation. Feel free to contact our Customer Service at 866-581-7378 M-F 9a-5p EST for further assistance with your specific situation.

    Q
    Removing Temprid residue
How can we remove Temprid residue from our floors and walls? We have a mix of tile and wooden flooring at home. We have a baby at home - hence would like to try and remove as much residue as possible from the wooden floor, tiled floor and painted cement walls. Does Temprid get absorbed into wood when it is applied to wooden surfaces, floor, furniture? I understand that it is water based, so I was wondering if it is drawn into the wood together with water?
    A

To remove the Temprid SC residual you can mop, steam, or scrub the product off the baseboards and walls once it has dried. Temprid will not be absorbed into the floors or furniture if has been stained or treated in anyway and can be removed as instructed.

    Q
Can I apply Temprid SC without wearing a mask?
I noticed that most pro companies spray around houses without any lung protection. Especially when spraying up towards the gutters and soffit. Can I spray this Temprid SC without using a mask?
    A
It is not necessary to wear a mask when spraying Temprid SC if you are spraying in a well ventilated area. If not, we would recommend using a mask.

    Q
    Temprid and Bedlam Plus
If I've already used Temprid on my metal bed frame, but 7 days have passed, may I alternate and use Bedlam plus on the bed frame? I don't think the Temprid got them all and I heard Bedlam kills eggs better. I'd like to use the Temprid for cracks and crevices but alternate between Bedlam and Temprid on the bedframe and box spring every 7-14 days. I was told "alternating" chemicals can be effective. Advise?
    A
Please keep in mind it takes time to eradicate bed bugs.  Yes, you can alternate chemicals. The Temprid and Bedlam Alternation is a great plan. Be sure you are applying per label. Temprid for Bed bugs can be applied every 7 days and Bedlam every 2 weeks.

    Q
    Treating stuffed animals
Will this work?: I have some more likely than not infested stuffed animals. Some can't be laundered and the others still seem to be a problem even after multiple hot water washes and/or multiple double high heat dryings. Could I cover the entire inside of a bag with Temprid SC Insecticide, let it dry then place stuffed animals inside bag, remove air and leave sealed tight for "X" amount of days to kill infestations? Or even inset a rag that has been saturated and allowed to dry? Is it safe and will it work? If so, how long would I leave the bag(s) sealed? Would the stuffed animals still be safe for a toddler? He doesn't put them in his mouth but does snuggle at times. I understand that a person shouldn't come in contact with Temprid long term but perhaps I could even insert a barrier in between like old pillow cases. I am on a fixed income and have already spent my bill $$ to help fight these things so Nuvan Pro strips are not a possibility at this time. I'm all for going out of my way using some clever problem solving techniques but I need to know if it will work and be safe. PS: tossing the animals aren't an option right now. My toddler is Autistic and he is very attached to (has formed imaginary playmate attachments with since he was 9 months old) his animal buddies. It would be devastating to him if even 1 disappeared; (Believe me...I'm the one who launders them, lol. As it stands right now I have to leave them sealed in bags outside and take them out daily so he can see and play with them, strip his clothes off before we go in and bag and wash them then quickly bath him. Because of this daily ordeal his play place of choice is outside...all day long, in Florida where the temp is currently 102 degrees and I have things I need to do inside. Any thoughts and/or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    A
No, Temprid SC should not be sprayed on stuffed animals or sprayed in a bag to place stuffed animals in. We would recommend placing all the stuffed animals in the dryer at high heat for at least an hour or placing them all in a bag and using Nuvan Pro Strips.

    Q
Will Termidor SC or Temprid SC kill black widow and brown recluse spiders?
    A
Termidor SC and Temprid SC will both kill spiders. Termidor SC is only labeled to be applied 1 ft up and 1 ft out directly up against the outside of the structure twice a year. Temprid SC is labeled for indoor (crack and crevice) and outdoor applications. You will treat once a month outside and once every three months indoors for the best results.

  • Asked by Leigh from Lodi,ca

    Q
I need to know what specific type of face mask/respirator to buy when using the Temprid SC.
I looked in the MSDS, I understood it to say use the appropriate level protection for the actual concentration of aerosol you're needing to be protected from. So do i need a big fancy one or can I just buy a $20 spray paint & pesticide respirator from my local home depot? Also it says to wear tightly fitting eye goggles. Any suggestions on where to find kid size I guess because I'm very petite.
    A
We do carry an inexpensive respirator mask that can be used when appying a water based insecticide such as Temprid SC. We do carry goggles but not aware of anyone that carries a kid size. Both the mask and goggles are in our Basic Safety Kit that also contains coveralls, shoe covers and chemical resistant gloves.

I ordered Temprid SC and I'm wondering if Talstar is more appropriate for general pest control inside and outside the house.
I just placed an order and I'm wondering if I ordered the right product. I ordered Temprid SC and I'm wondering if Talstar is more appropriate for general pest control inside and outside the house. My biggest problem is small spiders nesting on my walls and silverfish.
    A

Actually, Temprid SC is great for spiders and other insects including silverfish. It has a quicker knockdown and a long lasting residual. It is labeled for general pest control for many insects for indoor and outdoor applications. You will mix 0.8 fl oz per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft and apply to indoor cracks and crevices once every 90 days inside and once a month to the exterior of the home.

  • Asked by Oz from Sydney, Nsw
    05/19/2015
    Q
What is the best way to get rid of German cockroaches in restaurants?
I am a pest controller in Sydney, Australia. I spray Temprid on skirting boards, under the appliances and fridges and cookers, then use gels in cabinets, corners. Is that effective? Thanks
    A

When dealing with roaches, treatments should be limited to cracks, crevices and wall voids as this is where roaches spend most of their time. Using a combination of roach bait, insecticide, and an insect growth regulator will usually be needed.

    • Apply roach baits such as Avert Dry Flowable or MaxForce FC in cracks or crevices where roach feces have been found.

    • Apply an insecticide dust such as Delta Dust into wall voids where plumbing pipes exist and in wall voids behind stoves or dishwashers. These walls are most likely to have cockroaches hiding inside because of the humidity provided by the pipes.

    • Liquid insecticides combined with insect growth regulators will also offer some control. Temprid SC and Gentrol IGR are labeled to spray in food handling establishments for roach control. (ALWAYS READ PRODUCT LABELS BEFORE APPLICATION) Precaution should be used when applications are being performed. Apply in cracks and crevice at low pressure setting, being extremely careful not to splash or allow runoff that could potentially contaminate food prep surfaces. Protective barrier applications of insecticides such as Temprid SC should be made on a regular basis on the outside of structure to exclude insects from entering.

Looking for product advice to use for pest control in Atlanta
Looking for product advice to use for pest control in Atlanta - i have termite service, so don't need help there but for general pest control in Atlanta area - also, have a child in the house who is crawling so need to be cautious of what to use. (silver fish, roaches, ants etc)
    A
Our most popular general use product is called Talstar.  It is widely used by pest control companies because it is labeled for almost every insect you could have a problem with and you can use it outside the home as well as inside, it is odorless and very safe for use around children and pets.  It is a liquid concentrate that you mix with water in a one gallon hand pump sprayer.  It will last for 60 to 90 days outside in between treatments.  It is also labeled for lawn and ornamental use, and can be used on trees, plants, bushes and shrubs for all sorts of ornamental pests including Japanese beetles, mosquitoes, and other leaf eating pests. Talstar is also available in a granule formula called Talstar PL if you prefer to use granules. Also, we are located in Norcross, Ga. if you would like to come pick up the product.

  • Asked by August from Hawaii
    03/26/2015
    Q
Can you explain how Temprid SC becomes safe after drying but isn't safe during application?
Never had any pest control service before & have no experience on the subject. Recently moved to tropics where this product must be sprayed monthly. I'm concerned with my cat who rubs, lays, and brushes up against the walls then licks himself. Also afraid he may eat a pest that has been exposed to Temprid. Would that have an effect on the cat, whether dry or not? Whats the difference chemically?
    A
The reason an application of Temprid SC is safe once dry is because when it is dry the product as adhered to the surface and will not be so easily removed.  While it is still wet it would be easy for the cat to ingest it if they were to lick the area.  It only takes a small amount of the active ingredient to harm an insect but for a cat they would have to either physically ingest a large portion of the actual product or at least their weight in bugs that died after contacting Temprid.

    Q
What IGR should I mix with Temprid for fleas?
What IGR works best with Temprid for fleas?
    A
Temprid SC is labeled for fleas, but it can only be used outside. If this is the treatment you're looking for, you can use Martins IGR along with it. We do recommend using the Outdoor/Indoor Flea Kit which includes Onslaught Insecticide, which can be broadcasted onto carpeted areas, and Martins IGR.
