    Tenacity Herbicide should be used when the temperatures are above freezing on a daily basis. Your target temperature range will depend on whether you are using Tenacity for pre-emergent or post-emergent applications.

    What do I do if it rains on recently applied Tenacity Herbicide?
    I applied Tenacity to my yard in Richmond, VA. Shortly afterwards, a quick thunderstorm and shower hit the area. Do I reapply immediately assuming it did not dry properly, or do I wait the 2-3 weeks and apply again? Also, I have a nutsedge infestation. I got Tenacity for that specific purpose. Sedgehammer was mentioned as a better solution, but I was also told to that I would not be able to aerate and overseed in the fall if I used it. Is this true? Thanks.

    If it rained less than 4 hours after applying Tenacity Herbicide, you will need to reapply, but wait until the area has dried. Tenacity Herbicide is labeled for Yellow Nutsedge so it should work if that's what you have, just make sure to follow the label instructions. Sedgehammer Herbicide is definitely a great solution for nutsedge. According to the label you may overseed with annual or perennial ryegrass or bermudagrass, 2 weeks after application. All other seeding can be done 4 weeks after application. If you plan to aerate, you can do it 3-4 weeks after application as well to avoid stressing your grass.

    If it is 70 degrees in the morning and will get up to 95 in the afternoon, can I still apply Tenacity Herbicide?
    I noticed a question about temperature and application of Tenacity, you stated it can be applied up to 80 degrees. Is that during application?

    When mentioning Tenacity Herbicide and temperature, we are referring to the temperature at time of application. If it gets above 70 degrees after your application has dried, that is okay.

    Will Tenacity Herbicide kill Japanese Stiltgrass?
    What is the official word on using Tenacity on Jap stiltgrass?

    Tenacity Herbicide is not labeled for Japanese stiltgrass. We generally recommend using Acclaim Extra Selective Herbicide for Japanese stiltgrass. Be sure to check the label to make sure your turfgrass is tolerant.

    Could I apply Tenacity if the weed leaves are wet? Do I need to wait until the weed leaves are dried?

    It would be best to wait to apply Tenacity Herbicide once the leaves have dried. Be sure to mix in a surfactant like NonIonic Surfactant.

    How many times can you apply Tenacity Herbicide to the same lawn in a season?
    Is there a limit? I am seeing results from the first 2 applications (2.5 weeks apart), but it is not fully killing the yellow nutsedge I was looking for it to do. Thanks.

    You can apply Tenacity Herbicide multiple times per year as long as you do not exceed the maximum annual rate of 16 oz per Acre per year. To treat yellow nutsedge, you may need to reapply Tenacity after 2 to 3 weeks; be sure to use a non-ionic surfactant for post-emergent applications. We would allow at least 2 week for nutsedge to yellow after herbicide applications.

    Can I use my hand held weed wiper with Tenacity in it?
    A

    We are not sure if Tenacity Herbicide can be applied with your handheld weed wiper. If you can apply the labeled amount over 1000 square feet with water, we do not see an issue. It would be best to also consult with the manufacturer of your Weed Wiper.

    How safe is Tenacity Herbicide to rid my crabgrass infestation in my Bermuda and Fescue lawn?

    Tenacity Herbicide when applied per label will not harm established Centipede. Bermuda can be sensitive to Tenacity.

    How late in the year can Tenacity Herbicide be applied?
    I purchased Tenacity from you earlier this year. I applied it twice in June, two weeks apart. The nimblewill got a little white, but came back strong. I haven't been able to reapply it because we've had grandkids around. How late can I use it again? How much should I use in a one gallon sprayer? I also purchased and used the Spreader Sticker. Thanks!

    Tenacity Herbicide is a pre and post emergant so it can be applied at any time of the year, where the weeds and grasses you are treating are still actively growing with temps consistently above 55 degrees.  Per the product label you would use .5 tsp of tenacity in one gallon of water.

    Should dead/dying crabgrass be pulled up before Sept. overseeding after using Tenacity Herbicide?
    Crabgrass has taken over front lawn. Applied Tenacity in early August and crabgrass white/brown and dying 2 1/2 - 3 weeks later. Now I want to do a fall overseed. Do the massive areas of dead crabgrass (and some nutsedge) all have to be pulled up before roughing up, spreading top soil and reseeding? Need to reseed soon, but the crabgrass won't have withered and died in time. (in Mid-state NY).

    When using Tenacity Herbicide you should remove the thatch layer before reseeding, and it is best to aerate prior to the application as well. You want to be sure that the new seed has the best chance to come in contact with the soil.

    Is it OK to apply Tenacity and Bayer Advanced grub control during the same week??
    The label warns against using some insecticides within a week of applying Tenacity. I am not sure if the Bayer grub control product (which contains Dylox) is one of the restricted products.

    Tenacity Herbicide's label says to "not apply an organophosphate or carbamate insecticide within seven days of a Tenacity application". Bayer's Dylox 6.2 Granules or Dylox 420 SL both have an active ingredient of Trichlorfon which is considered an organophosphate, therefore you should wait the window of at least 7 days before you apply Dylox 6.2 or Dylox 420 SL to the area that has been treated with Tenacity Herbicide.

    How long should I wait to re-seed after I used Tenacity Herbicide?
    I had a lot of thick patches of nimble weed in my yard, I put on tenacity and it kill the nimble weed, but now it is brown.

    There is no wait time after applying Tenacity Herbicide to re-seed unless you are re-seeding with fine fescue. For fine fescue, it is recommended that you wait at least 30 days after application to re-seed.
