    Q
I work for a termite company in CA. They try to make me treat in the rain. What is the law in CA?
I know the label stats "do not treat while precipitation is occurring" however my company who will remain annoymus is trying to say as long as the soil is protected by the eves of the house is okay to treat.. please let me know I don't want to break the law and risk having my Branch 2 and 3 revoked. and plus a fine or jail time.
    A
The law varies greatly in each state and we are located in Georgia and are unfamiliar with the law in California. You should contact the department of agriculture in your state and ask for their expertise on this law.

    Q
Why do you have to put Termidor SC in a trench?
    A

Termidor SC should be applied in a trench and drilled holes to provide a barrier around the structure where the termites can gain access. They travel beneath the soil so this application is necessary for eradication and protection.

    Q
Leaking of Termidor into the garage?
In one of my houses, the garage foundation leaks a little water when we have hard rain. Will the trench method cause the termidor or any other product to leak into the property? I really don't want this stuff in my living space, do I?
    A
Termidor has low solubility in water. It will bind with the soil and should not leak into your living space.

    Q
How can I dig a 6x6 trench fast when treating with Termidor SC?
I dug a trench ith a pick axe about 80 feet out of 210 and it took me 4 hours then there was unexpected rain, so I filled the trench back up. I have a tiller that can dig a 6 inch wide trench. Can I use a tiller? All videos and information online shows only the use of manual tools to dig
    A

When getting ready to treat with Termidor SC and digging a trench, you can use whatever equipment you have at your disposal as long as you're able to safely trench the perimeter of your home. Also, when trenching and if it rains, you could use a tarp to cover up the area to protect what's already been done.

    Q
Can Termidor be used effectively for an active termite infestation inside the house?
How does it compare to Bora-Care?
    A
Yes, Termidor can be used inside the house, but only as a spot treatment where an active termite infestation exists.  Termidor and Bora-Care are for two different treatments.  Termidor is meant for the soil, but can be used on wood as a spot treatment.  The main benefit of Termidor is that the termites will take it back to the colony under the ground and kill the colony at the source.  Bora-Care is a wood treatment product only, but it will not take care of the termite colony below the soil; it will only kill the termites that are in the wood.

    Q
I just purchased Termidor for Outside barrier for Ants and other Bugs and Demand for Interior
I was wondering about chemical usage. I have recently purchased demand and termidor. Termidor for outside use around the foundation and Demand for inside use and outside used around windows and roof peaks and around doors. Is this the way these chemicals should be used or could I use Termidor for all of my spraying on the outside of the house structure? I am trying to control ants and carpenter ants and also waterbug roaches. I have also bought the Carpenter ant package #1 and Drione powder for where I know that I have seen a nest in the yard.
    A
You should use the Termidor SC all around the immediate exterior of your home, 1-2 ft up the foundation and 1-2 ft out onto the ground, around door frames, window frames, places where cables, pipes or wires go through the wall and any other crack or crevice where the ants can gain entry into your home. Do not spray Demand in the same exact area where you have applied the Termidor SC or you will make the Termidor Sc less effective. You can use the Demand SC in the indoor locations you mentioned.

    Q
Which is more effective for Subterranean termites? Termidor SC, or Dominion 2L ?
    A
Termidor SC and Dominion 2L are both labeled for subterranean termites and will effectively kill them. The main difference between the two is the active ingredient and the amount of time it stays in the soil. Termidor SC will last about 10 years in the soil, while Dominion 2L will last about 5 years.

    Q
Does Termidor SC treatments for ants apply the same way for spiders?
    A
Yes. You can find the spider and ant instructions on product label on page 13 on the bottom right hand side of the page. Basically you will mix .80 fl oz per gallon of water and spray 1 ft up the foundation and 1ft out onto the ground, around door frames, window frames, and any other exterior crack, crevice or gap where spiders may try to gain entry. Termidor SC is an outdoor only product and should not be used on the interior of your home for spiders or ants.
