Termidor SC will cover 60 lineal feet per 20 oz bottle for trenching and drilling for subterranean termite control against the foundation. This is not a wood treatment product. If applying twice per year for crawling insects around the structure (1 ft up and 1 ft out), you will apply 0.8 fl oz per gallon.
Termidor SC has a residual of 10 years when applied as a termite trench treatment. If active termite colonies are observed after the trench treatment has been done, spot treatments with a 1 gallon mixed solution of Termidor SC or Termidor Foam is recommended. Drill into the wall void or area where suspected termite colony is located and inject the liquid solution or foam into the wall void.
Please view our How to perform a Termite Trench Treatment Article and our How to Use Termidor Foam Video for more information.
Under no circumstance should Termidor SC be applied with a fogger of any kind. Termidor is a very restrictive product as to how and where it can be used and you must adhere to the product label use instructions completely.
We recommend waiting until the Termidor SC treated areas have dried before turning on the units. As long as non of the application seeped inside, you can use the rooms as usual after the application.
We are only able to provide the Termidor SC in the 20 oz bottle. We do have the Taurus SC with the same active and instructions available in larger sizes.
Termidor SC is a great choice for liquid soil treatment since it has a very long soil residual (10 years or more) and great transfer effect. In preventative applications, you would not be required to treat the inside of a crawl space. However, if there are live termites in the crawl space, then you would still need to spot treat that colony to insure control of them. So just treating the exterior of the house is not considered sufficient if there is already an issue in the crawl space.
If you can treat the termites from elsewhere in the house, then you may be able to spot treat the activity using Termidor Foam instead.
Yes, Termidor SC is labeled for wasps, but you can only apply if they are on the outside structure of your home.
Due to the high water table and potential for regular flooding in the state of Louisiana, most of the soil termiticides such as Termidor SC are not for use in the soil in that state. This means only unique and safer formulations that wont get into the water are allowed, or bait stations in instances where liquids are not the preferred option. The two main termiticides that are not restricted to soil use in Louisana are Altriset and Phantom. Altriset is what most customers use due to its newer formulation and safety for the environment, along with its great termite control abilities. If you feel trenching is not going to be what you would like to do, we do carry Termite Bait Stations as a great alternative home protection option. The guide linked here is extremely helpful and goes through step by step instructions as well as "How to" videos for both treating with a liquid termiticide as well as installing bait stations.
Termidor SC is approved to be sold and used in the state of Florida.
Unfortunately, we don't carry the 2.5 gallon size of Termidor SC so don't have a way to check on this for you. We apologize for any inconvenience; have a wonderful day.
Yes, when doing a pre slab treatment you will need to use 1 gallon of mixed solution of Termidor SC (0.8 fl oz per gallon of water) per 10 square feet. Take the total square footage you need to treat, divide the square footage by 10 then multiply by 0.8 to get the total amount of Termidor SC you will need to treat for the pre-slab treatment.
If treating 1728 sq ft, that would come to 172.8 10 sq ft sections and you would need 138.24 fl oz of Termidor SC to treat the entire area. Taurus SC would be an alternative to Termidor SC that comes in a 78 oz bottle. Taurus SC is the generic brand of Termidor SC and contains the same amount of Fipronil active ingredient, same product label and application rates.
Termidor SC should not be applied to palm trees (or other trees). It should only be applied as directed against the foundation.
Termidor SC should be applied in a trench against the foundation of the structure not perimeter of deck. It can also be applied in drilled holes in concrete against the foundation.
We apologize that Termidor SC, Taurus SC and Navigator SC are restricted to Indiana so we are unable to ship those termiticides. You can check out a product that we have called Dominion 2L. A 27.5 fl oz bottle will make 50 gallons and treat 120 lineal feet of trenching/drilling per bottle. Please find our treatment article/videos here for a successful application.
Termidor SC cannot be applied to pastures. We recommend consulting with the Dept of Ag for alternate product selections that will best fit your needs.
DoMyOwn.com is located in Norcross, Georgia about 45 minutes northeast of Atlanta. We only ship within the United States at this time.
Termidor SC no se puede utilizer en plantas comestibles. Muchas veces las termitas si solo se encuentran en la tierra cercan del arbol no le causan dano.
If you did not apply the correct amount of Termidor SC you would need to redo the entire trench and apply at the rate of 3.2 fl oz in 4 gallons per 10 lineal feet to get the correct application.
Unfortunately, this is not a common situation and therefore, we are unable to advice. We recommend contacting the emergency number on the safety data sheet (SDS), 1-800-424-9300 and we also recommend to contact the company that performed the treatment.
Best Regards,
Yes, liquid termiticides can be used to drill and inject into brick. Normally, horizontal drilling through brick is not needed unless you have a hollow block wall leading into a basement that you need to treat on the inside. You would follow the instructions laid out at the link below to our Termite Treatment Guide on how to do a trench around the foundation of your home with Termidor to get the 10 year protection from subterranean termites. Any areas you have concrete against the foundation (i.e., patio, sidewalk, driveway/garage) where you can't trench, you would need to drill a hole every 12 inches across and treat the soil below the concrete. These instructions are also laid out in the guide and product label of Termidor SC which you can find a link to under the Product Documents section on the Termidor SC page
