Termidor SC should be applied in a trench against the foundation of the structure not perimeter of deck. It can also be applied in drilled holes in concrete against the foundation.
Termidor SC should not be applied directly to any foliage, including flowering plants. If you are concerned about ornamental plants being affected by Termidor SC when trenching, this product contains Fipronil which is not a systemic insecticide and would really not be absorbed by plants.
Per the manufacturer, if fipronil were to get into plants, it can partially breakdown reducing any risk of translocating. The active is formulated to last up to 10 years in the soil because it binds with it when applied correctly.
Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.
When treating the exterior perimeter foundation with Termidor SC Termiticide/Insecticide, do not spray more than 1 ft out from the foundation and keep applications atleast 5ft away from wells and out of the root zone of any fruit trees as directed on the product label.

Apply per the product label for Subterranean Termites and view our How to Treat for Subterranean Termite Guide for more information.
We recommend you keep applications of Termidor SC Termiticide/Insecticide about 30 days apart from applications of a pyrethroid. Doing so sooner may impact effiancy.

We apologize that Termidor SC, Taurus SC and Navigator SC are restricted to Indiana so we are unable to ship those termiticides. You can check out a product that we have called Dominion 2L. A 27.5 fl oz bottle will make 50 gallons and treat 120 lineal feet of trenching/drilling per bottle. Please find our treatment article/videos here for a successful application.
Termidor SC cannot be applied to pastures. We recommend consulting with the Dept of Ag for alternate product selections that will best fit your needs.
Termidor SC is not labeled specifically for velvety tree ants, nor is it labeled for ant control treatments anywhere other than around the foundation of a home or other structure. Instead, if the ants are actively foraging, you could consider baiting with a combination of Maxforce Complete Granular Bait and Maxforce Quantum Ant Bait in the Ants No More Bait Stations, or mound drenching and treating the trees with a residual insecticide product like Talstar P Professional Insecticide at 1 oz. per gallon of water.
DoMyOwn.com is located in Lawrenceville, Georgia about 45 minutes northeast of Atlanta. We only ship within the United States at this time.
Termidor SC has soil-binding molecules in it that will allow it to bind to any soil and does not require a wetting agent.
Yes, you can add a foaming agent to Termidor SC and create a foam. You will also need a foam applicator such as Chapin Poly Foamer.
No, Demand CS and Termidor can not be used in the same area at the same time. Termidor SC is a non-repellent product that works with a delayed reaction time and a transfer effect. Termidor SC also has a very limited label that only allows you to use it on or immediately adjacent to a structure. Demand CS on the other hand is broadly labeled and will kill the insects that walk over treated surfaces. If you mix the two together you will be losing the non-repellent factor and transfer effect of the Termidor SC and you will be severely limiting the places you can spray the Demand CS. Termidor SC is not labeled to be tank mixed with other products.
Yes, you can use Termidor to treat in the crawl space. Inside the crawl space you would need to trench around any piers that hold up the home but the outside trench would be all that is required for the actual foundation if you are using Termidor. The Termidor will last for 10 years to protect your home. Please take a moment to look thru our pest control guide for termite treatment.
Termites do not normally attack live, healthy trees. If the tree has been damaged by termites it would be advisable to remove the tree and perform a liquid termite soil treatment. Most people are primarily concerned with protecting the big investment, their home, and Termidor SC would be the product to use for that. Please take a moment to read over our article on "How to do a Termite Treatment" for complete details. In most cases, termites out in the yard are completely normal and can be left alone. Termidor is only labeled to be used adjacent to structures and when used as directed is safe around plants/trees that are in this area around a building/structure.
Instead, Dominion 2L is a product that can be used in the yard and around/near trees. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.
Termidor SC can be sprayed around the perimeter of the home one foot up & one foot out. Once the product has dried it will be safe for pets again. Since the product bonds with the soil, it would not affect your dog even if they're digging there. Keep in mind that spraying termidor does not prevent termites, simply other pests such as spiders, ants, roaches, etc. If you are looking to do either a preventive or currative treatment for termites you will need to dig a trench around the home.

No, Termidor can not be used around any type of tree. Termites do not normally attack live, healthy trees so you most likely will not find any products that will work as a ground barrier around the trees. Most people are primarily concerned with protecting the big investment, their home, and Termidor SC would be the product to use for that. It is only labeled to be used adjacent to the structure though. Please take a moment to read over our article on "How to do a Termite Treatment" for complete details.
Termidor SC needs to be mixed at a rate of 0.8 oz per gallon of water. You will need to use 4 gallons of mixed solution to treat 10 linear feet of trenched area, the trench needs to be 6 inches deep and 6 inches wide and made along the foundation of the home. The backfill needs to be treated as well before it is placed back into the trenched area. IF your soil is extremely dry, you can water the area 24 hours before you begin the treatment. Please review our Termite Treatment Guide for complete instructions.
Once the Termidor SC is dry you can spray with Bifen or Talstar.
