The Dismiss Turf Herbicide doesn't seem to be working on Star of Bethlehem, any idea why?

I applied Dismiss at .18 ounces using a Ryobi battery operated sprayer to Star of Bethlehem which is about a foot tall. I haven't seen any results. Do you think it's due to the type of sprayer? A gallon of water with .18 ounces covered about 500 square feet so it was even over the recommended quantity. It's been several days since I sprayed and it all looks the same. I have a major infestation in the yard.

Answer:

Dismiss Turf? is absorbed through the foliage and into the root system. It will kill the root of Star of Bethlehem. According to the Dismiss Turf product label, you can reapply the Dismiss 35 days after the first application to ensure no harm to your lawn and acheive better control of the hearty weeds in the lawn.  However, you want to be sure that you are applying your products at the optimal time for the weeds you are targeting. If not, the product will only supress the Star of Bethlehem and not get rid of it entirely.
