Mary from Tuttle, Ok writes

The handyman spraying our lawn used a mix containing Trimec. He accidentally treated our asparagus bed.

The asparagus was just emerging. We are continuing to get spears, but are concerned about residuals. Is it safe to eat?

Answer:

Gordons Trimec Classic Broadleaf Herbicide  should not be used around edible vegetation. The vegetable should not be consumed if treated.
